Cubs reliever Daniel Bard has been bedeviled by control problems going back to the 2012 season, and his struggles have continued during his current stint in the Puerto Rican Winter League. Bard has appeared in three games, and in facing 13 batters, he has recorded only one out, walking nine batters while striking out none.
In posting a 189.00 ERA, Bard has also hit three batters and thrown four wild pitches

This is starting to sound more like what happened to Rick Ankiel when he lost his ability to find the strike zone.

He was never even considered to be a closer so this post is irrelevant. Bard is better sed in blowouts.

and another Blowout post sails right over the outfielder's head and into the seats

It amazes me that he has allowed 8 runs(7 earned) without allowing a hit.

On the brightside, he has a no-hitter through 1/3 of an inning.

As a Sox fan, I feel really bad for the kid. The Sox destroyed his confidence, his head, and likely his career. I will always root for him and I hope he can make a comeback...
