I know they suggest sending in a box but was wondering if anyone has ever sent them in bubble mailers.

I've used a bubble mailer when sending small quantities for a Hot List submission.

I don't send until I have enough to put into flat rate boxes. I can get (4) 550 ct boxes into a medium flat rate and (6) into a large. I maximizes the profit when you minimize the shipping. If you need to send less it is fine as long as it arrives undamaged. They don't care what they are shipped in but they won't cover you if it arrives messed up.

I send small amounts in Bubble mailers often. When I submit small amounts for the hot special or weekly rate I send them in a PWE placed in a bubble mailer with cardboard.
For larger subs I place a 200 or 400 count box inside a Flat Rate Priority Bubble mailer.
Never had any issues.

I've shipped a small 200-300 count box inside of a bubble mailer for Hot List stuff - it's light enough for first class usually.

I've done it. I put a top loader on top and bottom of the stack of cards. I then make a cardboard box out of some spare cardboard from work. I put a few pieces of packing peanuts in the top because it never completely "seals". The whole thing is then put into a plastic bag and then the bubble mailer with some more packing peanuts to fill the package. I've done this twice and have had no issues. It's usually $6, I think, if you use a big bubble mailer. Good luck!
