KaneKlan88, who is here on BlowOut Cards, made a deal with me on November 18th for these 2 cards. http://www.blowoutcards.com/forums/hockey-singles-buy-sell-trade/615951-2-card-quicksale-crosby-rc-fleury-auto-20-a.html
Today, ELEVEN days later, I get this in my inbox:
Hello again. I don't know if you remember but we recently made a sale for a Crosby MVP RC and a Fleury Ultimate Sigs for $20 plus $4 shipping. I haven't sent yet and was wondering if you'd be opposed to taking the Crosby out of the deal. Someone on another forum saw it in a group pic and I want to take the trade offer he made me. What if I refund you half back? Thanks Marc
:mad:Anyone EVER experience anything like this?????

You had agreed to a deal for XX amount of dollars. You did not even have the cards in hand yet. Then when you got them you told the buyer that you were upping the price. He did not agree being that you both already had an agreed upon deal for less money. Seems very similar to me. I just find it ironic you are so gung ho that this member here deserves a negative but in your situation you had done nothing wrong at all.

wrong , get it right and stop listening to one side of the story , cards was incoming ,so never made any deal at that point and told him ,
I would have no problem selling to him ( bigzig if covers the cost plus shipping and fees ) so I offered them for $170 when they came in and he had a hissy fit and tried to claim I already agreed to $150 ,well your both delusional and dead wrong , never did I ask for paypal and never did he send anything)(paypal) , so for you or anyone else who think otherwise , who in their right mind would sell right away like that and take a immediate loss ,
ah , NOONE
there is no rule on this and iluvfish even agreed on that , why the neg never got removed ?? I don;t have an answer for that ,but it was wrong and there is no rule stating a neg can be giving on a deal that is being discussed ,
only when I deal is clear cut made ( paypal asked for or transfered ,) like above
so is there anyway a Neg should be left in my case ,NO
so not going to argue old news that is irrelevant
you don;t like me and for sure I do not like you at all , so leave it that way and stay out of my way ., as I never once approached you in anyway shape or form , so you should be doing the same and leave me alone period
and for being gung ho about this situation which you have not said anything about ,all your concern with is badgering me
he paid the guy and then had to find out later on the guy wanted to pull a fast one and change the deal ,totally different ,paypal was exchanged , deal was agreed upon and acted out ,
not the case in my deal with bigzig , paypal was never asked for ,never given and deal was only talked about prior to me even having the cards ,so you got nothing
crybaby was mad he couldn't get the cards for his price
and that about sums up how you act also .

All of us heard both sides of the story. We read the PMs and you said "I agree, let's both keep these messages so neither of us back out". The neg was never removed because you deserved it.

QuiteSomething, it is too bag you found a bad seller.
After I saw the lack of "feedback" or reference or lack of activity in the forum by that "seller". I will avoid any business or thing twice.
Just one recommendation in general. I recommend separate items for sale/accept offers and items to trade.

Yeah, it's too BAG?:D The cards were for sale at a half decent price, I paid PayPal, which backs me up if there is a problem. I made no reference whatsoever about a "trade" on my part, so there is no reason for me to "think twice?"

QuiteSomething,
Looks like the Sidney Crosby Rookie scan has been removed (?). Can you repost a scan for us to see. Either way, I'm assuming the card is worth more than $20, most likely $200-500?
Without knowing KaneKlan88, I'm assuming he, didn't know what he had . . . most likely he packed pulled the card and put that $20 dollar offer for a quick buck. I say this ("packed pulled", "didn't know what he had") because if he paid out of pocket for that Crosby Rookie card with his own money (~$200-$400) . . . there is no way in , he would sell for $20 bucks - nobody is that stupid or desperate.
My guess, is that you were the first one, to inquire about KaneKlan88 sale. And KaneKlan88 (not knowing the true value of the card) eagerly said "Yes, I will sell to you." Sold. Done Deal!
Obviously, someone else sees KaneKlan88's sale and emails KaneKlan88 and tells him, "hey dude, don't you know your Crosby is worth at least $300 bucks? Heck, I will give you $200 right now!! Please don't sell it to that chump for $20 . . ."
KaneKlan88 starts thinking to himself, "should I do the right thing and honor the $20 deal that I have w QuiteSomething?? Or should I sell it for $200 and then email QuiteSomething 'lets change the deal' email??
Well now we know the answer. My guess, (and it's only a guess), KaneKlan88 will never send you that card . . . and will refund your $20.
If KaneKlan88 had any fortitude about himself, he would have emailed you and said, "Hey,QuiteSomething, I made a HUGE mistake. That Crosby card is not worth $20 bucks. It's worth $300-$500. Member XXXX told me this and is willing to buy for $200 dollars. I checked Ebay and the last one sold for $250. So let's do this, lets compromise. With your permission, I will sell the card to member xxxx for $200 dollars. And since I feel awful, and it was my fault for the screw up, I will split the $200 with you . . . that way, I won't take a big loss and you win too with the extra cash. What do you say to this 'new deal'? And for the mixup on my part, I will send those other hockey cards to you free - don't worry about shipping cost, it's on me, I will take care of it"
Now if Kaneklan88 sends you that email - that would be reasonable and honorable. Hopefully KaneKlan88 is reading this and does the right thing.
Fingers crossed for you QuiteSomething :)

Way off base on this, the card wasn't an expensive one. It is the fact that he pulled this on me that made me P.O.ed. Here is a scan of the same card that a different seller has up for auction. They only sell for about $16:

As for you, it appears that you would defend this guy by your feedback stating that you pulled the same crap as him. It is not the reputation of who you are or your rep or being on here for a long time, it is the reputation of having a moral obligation that you have when a deal is made to follow through on your end instead of being a fudgepacker that does not own up to his word! People like you and kaneklan are the one's that wreck it for every other honest guy in this hobby. May I suggest you pull your crap in a dark back alley where you belong, right beside the rats and the trash?:D

You my friend could be moronic. I am not defending anyone.
Did you even look at the thread involved in my circumstances?
Or did you simply take the "one eyed" blow out approach and just look at my feedback and assume?
Shame shame shame.
I simply told a member in my sale thread if a deal I already had in play fell through I would take his offer.
No PayPal accounts were discussed nor emails nor money.
I woke up with an offer from another member for more of my cards (as they were in lots) one of which the first pointed out member wanted.
I accepted the offer as I had lost my job at the time and needed money to cover some of my bills.
Then the first member got a little upset and decided to graffiti my sales thread with negative words.
He then also decided to give me a negative feedback even though I didn't even believe a deal had been done.
We both got suspended, me for retaliatory feedback (like who isn't going to stand up for themselves)
So before you judge me purely based on one simple fact, please be aware that I have over 500 feedback through eBay and other forums all @ 100 percent positive.
So to counter your argument, I believe that it is you and your simple minded attitude that is ruining this hobby.
You, my friend belong in crocodile infested waters with a gaping leg wound :-)

It was too "bad".
I made no reference whatsoever about a "trade" on my part, so there is no reason for me to "think twice?"
An old user in the forum with a lack of reference. It isn't matter it was a trade or a sale. It is a waste of time waiting/spending to resolve a situation that can be avoided thinking "twice".
I agree with F4collector only about the "polite" way to answer the situation not the strange deal part. A "polite" answer can be accepted from anyone, the big problem. It is needed to do it fast. Not 11 eleven days later. :D
This situation reminds me. One of my little experiences as buyer in eBay. For example a seller that wanted to cancel a sale because he/she doesn't "combine" shipping. Then argue with me about my answer to his/her attitude. Then refund me because his/her "cat" died. Then contact again that he/she refund because will never sold again. In the end, the feedback showed the true. It looks like he/she was interesting to get "bid wars" for the items. Because days later reposted the same items.

I've dealt with OP on some hockey stuff in the past - easy to deal with, payment sent, cards mailed and delivered. Just like any other deal should go on here.
The fact that OP paid the guy...it is 11 days later and the guy hasn't even shipped is a big problem. Trying to change the deal after the fact is shady as well...you put it out there, you agreed, he paid.

Of course it does make him look like a scammer. If a deal is paid for and you do not mail the cards for eleven days, then ask to change the cards and give half the PayPal back, THE SELLER LOOKS LIKE A SCAMMER!!!! Am I supposed to wait 2 months until I am repaid? I do not think it is stupid, but someone else seems to be. If you do NOT understand, then do not make foolish comments?

What? Are you talking to me? Because I was answering to shrevecity.
A seller who can't resolve an easy problem and let the claim fall over his/her head. He/she is stupid. If someone is still mad about an issue with a seller and react in defense mode to comments without reading closely. He/she is also stupid.
Seriously. Good luck in your next adventure with strange offers and little reference sellers.
