Great prices, best selection, staff who are collectors... Better than the shill stores in Prince Edward

Relatives' shop perhaps? Heck, you even trashed any competitors. Marketing!

Do people in other countries actually know who Jim Brown , jerry west,Cal Ripken and anyone old school really are and what they did? I have no idea about cricket ,soccer or rugby so i dont collect in those sports. Always wondered about that when buying cards on ebay from sellers in other countires. no bashing, just wondering.

I'm rather embarrassed that I missed this. Also sorry to bump a relatively old thread, but this is my shop! I'll take this opportunity to address some comments and questions.

Thanks for the shout out, Scottie! I'm a long time collector, and so is my co-owner and shop manager. We all have a passion for the hobby, and want to make this all about fun. I won't comment on the other shops in HK, as I'm not intimately familiar with their business practices. However, I will say that we might be the only place in town to offer comfortable space to bust. In Hong Kong, this is a big deal - space is expensive! Hope to see you in the shop if you're ever in the city.

Scottie does seem pretty enthusiastic about the shop, but I can assure you that I have never met nor spoken to him. I guess there is a chance we're related?? And again, I have no opinion on the other stores in HK.

All the old school/vintage stuff in the shop is from my PC. Not a big market for most of it here, but it does give a slightly historical feel to the presentation. Basketball is an exception. With all the HOF autos in modern sets, collectors have quickly become familiarized with players like West, Russell, Kareem, etc... But there have been customers who saw my Babe Ruth auto, and asked who he is. I was thinking about displaying my partial T-206 set, but that might be too foreign.

Still have to pay protection fee? Ill check it out end of December if I find the place

No one has knocked on the door yet. I don't anticipate any problems. We're in a pretty good neighborhood. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to drop by. I roll out the red carpet for BO members :)!

How did someone posting for the very first time tonight bump a two year old thread and get a response from the one person it was directed to within 2 minutes???

I call multiple account BS!!!

Email alerted me of the message. Forgot that I hadn't posted the closure of the store in this thread, and jumped to correct that.

Don't see any reason why I would bump this thread to announce the closure of my store (which happened a while ago). Nor would I need a second account to make the announcement.

Hope this is a sufficient explanation to clear the matter. If not, I'm sure the mods would be satisfied with any further inquiry.

Thanks,
Justin

Don't pay attention to him. You don't need to explain anything

Yeah, still down here. But I'm back in HK pretty regularly on business.

where are you now based ?

I am now based in Australia. Great place to live, tough place to buy/sell cards,.

Sad that there is one less store in Hong Kong now. I didn't get a chance to stop by every card shop when going back there a few months ago to visit my relatives, but definitely would love to visit these shops again next time.

Still quite a few stores in Hong Kong. They're generally priced quite reasonably. I spent a lot of time at Card Express on my last visit. Louie is a nice guy, and I've hit some monsters out of that store :flex:
