Hey guys,
I just won an eBay auction at a pretty good price. The seller immediately sends me the invoice with this message at the bottom "I WILL ONLY DEAL WITH PEOPLE WITH OVER 100 PLUS POSITIVE FEEDBACKS." My feedback is 45 (100% positive). Now I am a bit confused. He did send me the invoice but it sounds like he doesn't want to sell the card to me now. You can take a look at the listing below, it has no mention of any 100+ feedback policy. I will respond to him before I attempt to make payment, any advice on the best way to go about approaching this?
DIRK NOWITZKI PANINI LIMITED 3 CLR PATCH CARD 19/25 - eBay (item 220569394862 end time Mar-12-10 20:32:30 PST) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220569394862&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_500wt_1172)

If you force the issue, he doesn't have much choice if he didn't state anything about it in his auction.

$4 shipping for priority mail and usually ships within 10 days of payment??? Sounds like a great seller to block to me. If I am paying for Priority rates I don't want Pony Express service!

Yeah, I took a chance. Between the bad picture and not so perfect feedback, it was a gamble.

He doesn't have that posted in his auction. I think he's pissed it sold for less than what it could have. He's trying to get out of the sale

I responded by asking him to clarify what he wrote in the invoice and basically told him I'm ready to pay as soon as we resolve this confusion. Now we wait.

Exactly my thoughts. Upset over sale price, so comes up with a crazy "rule" that is just way out there. His feedback isnt anything too special to write home about either...

I'd ignore him and pay for it. If the card doesnt show up you can file against it. Ebay is probuyer so you'd win in just about every case. And if he does refund your money there is no way I'm agreeing to the dispute, I'll atleast make him eat the fees.

Yup, pay for it. If he doesn't come through, neg his butt. This guy needs to be weeded out of the system.

The fish has it. NAIL HIM
In his shipping and payment instructions, he states.
Seller's payment instructions
I WILL ONLY DEAL WITH PEOPLE WITH OVER 100 PLUS POSITIVE FEEDBACKS
Not the best place to put this note when selling a product.

why give him a negative.....?..?...
the auction states: I WILL ONLY DEAL WITH PEOPLE WITH OVER 100 PLUS POSITIVE FEEDBACKS
so this seller gets a negative because the buyer didn't take the time to read the entire description.?..?.
it's the moron buyers that need to be weeded out.......

He responded with this, "That fine 100% feedback is good also Its just that I have been burned in the past with people with less then 10 feedback that is a mistake."
So, he made it sound like the 100+ feedback should have read 10+. I just paid so hopefully things go smoothly the rest of the way.

I understand his argument but he needs to state it more clearly. No offense but its only an $8 item. Give him a negative feedback so he can see what it feels like:D

I know that when I go to buy something, I read the item description. I look at the shipping cost and how he ships it, but I don't expect to find feedback under that tab. I expect to find it under the item description.
But glad you got it resolved.

that's right........ the seller had rules in the auction but the buyer was too lazy to read everything. and people are still saying to leave a negative. i don't know about you, bu i don't want those kinds of buyers bidding on my auctions.

I have no intention of giving this guy a negative. Never have given one. Yes he had this 100+ thing in his shipping information but it could have been made more prominent. Either way, I messaged him and he said it was a typo and should have read 10+. 100+ feedback is kinda of high for auction requirements. I have paid him and everything is good to go.

I understand now. It seems like everybody likes to throw around negatives. When they receive a neg though, they all complain and say "block him/her."
WizFan did the right thing. Glad to see it was settled and you get the card.

Come on Steelers, I said to neg him if he doesn't deliver after payment, am I blocked too? He had the stipulation about feedback hidden under his shipping tab!! Is that fair? The seller was dealing with a buyer that had full intent of paying and decided to try some stupid loophole he put in his auction because the item didn't sell for as much as he expected. Luckily, it looks like he will follow through and earn his feedback. By the way, if he delivers the product as expected, in a timely fashion, I would leave him + feedback and good DSR's.
