if there is a post helping this please just tell me and i will go there and get all the information i need. But soon I would like to host a break (maybe of 07 TTT Football again cause I really like that). But what I was looking to see was how you all figure out the pricing for it. I know to contact Chris about a case break price spon. by blowoutcards but just wondering how you figure out the rest? Paypal expenses (I believe is 2.9% but not positive) and also shipping and packaging costs. If anyone could help me out with all of this that would be great. I mean I figure I already know to take how many hits per box/case to figure out how many slots (including base slot and parallel). But just looking for some more detailed info from you guys since you all have been doing this for awhile now. I have been involved in 3 breaks now and love it, just got a new webcam to tape a break/member on youtube now and would love to host a break in the future and want to make sure I don't mess anything up. Thanks for any help that you give me

also wondering if it is allowed or not allowed for someone hosting the break to be in the break? If someone else randomizes the slots and it is taped? Everyone I have been a part of so far the host has not been in it so I figure no but just wanted to make sure.

I think that if it is OK with the break members for you to be in the break, then it is permissible....but I could be wrong!

Generally breakers are not involved in their break. Helps keep it honest and the breaker non-biased. If it was a total live break (live video feed) you might have a chance get in on it, but I think you'd have much higher success with your slots if your stay as the breaker.

I don't think the breaker should ever own slots in the break. I know I won't participate in one that's different. There are plenty of people that want to break without participating. That's just my opinion though.

If it were to be of the TTT Football, you could count me in.

thanks for all of the input so far all. Like I said I was just wondering about the host in the break cause the 3 I have been in none of them have been in it. So like I said no big deal I just want to get all of my basics down before I start my own break. I wanted to get involved in some myself to see how everything works which I have been in 3 and I am also in 2 more in early April. After all that I would like to begin hosting some. So if anyone could help me out more with the numbers part of a break and less with the host involved part that would be great just so I can get the basics down on top of what I already know thanks again for you input and advice

Are you asking more about how to break down a box/case of a product for a group break as far as hits and slot prices?

i can figure out the basics as of how many slots per case ect. I am just wondering how you all compute the extra costs added into each slot for paypal expense, shipping costs, and packaging materials. I assume you guys use a round about figure for all of this and that is the information I was wondering. So if a case costs $1500 and you have 40 slots what would it run each slot and how do you come up with the final total adding in the extra expenses i listed above. I thought that I saw someone say that they added in 2.9% for the paypal expenses (not too sure if that right or not) so this is the kind of stuff I am wondering about thanks for the help

I'm looking to get in on my first break so if you're gonna do ttt I'd definately like to get a slot. Why don't you look up the previous ttt breaks on here and see what each slot went for? See if that works based on what your price on the case will be.

well the only problem with that is, is that if the case price is still the same which I don't know what our last case costs us. But also I am just wondering for my own knowledge for later use as well. Saying if I do a different break besides TTT. But really I am thinking of doing TTT first because it is such a great product.

I believe its 2.9% that PayPal charges for the transaction on top of the base cost of.....I believe 30 cents. So let's say someone sends you $10 via PayPal....you would net $9.41 (30 cent base fee + 2.9% of the original amount sent so 2.9% of $10 is 29 cents which brings the PayPal fee total to 59 cents in this example). Its just a matter of working your way backwards to make sure that after people send you their money for their slots that what you have left over covers the case price from blowout as well as any shipping materials and postage. I would guess somewhere around $3.00 per single card slot is a good estimate to cover those non-PayPal related costs depending of course how much you get your shipping supplies for.

I know when someone hosts a break that I buy slots in, I am very grateful to them for taking the time and effort to coordinate everything and I want to make sure that they have all their expenses covered as I feel they should never have money come out of their own pocket to host a break to cover costs.

If you would like a more specific example on a breakdown/estimate let me know and I can show you an example. Hope this helps :)
