Why don't you just buy the card?

Why don't you just buy the card?

My guess is that the seller has a CRAZY high starting price....so high that even when the guy offers the least amount that COMC will allow its still too much.

Ive noticed this a lot. Seller will list a card for $80 that would be lucky to pull in $20 but all you can do is look at it because you cant make an offer lower then $40

Maybe they do not want to sell the card for $20..... One of the reasons I love COMC is that I do not have to field messages asking why I won't sell my card for such and such price because it went cheap on Ebay from a 3 feedback seller.

I agree with this to an extent, but when it is insanely high it is a different story...I have no problem paying a little more buying from there. But I wont pay 2-3x their going rate which seems to be fairly common on there

EXACTLY. If said card sells for under $20 10 times in a row on ebay and even less here on blowout and then someone has it listed for $80....its just plain dumb.

That's because people low ball on here and whine if you don't sell it for "less than ebay".

My selling price on Blowout are largely determined by my perceived self entitlement of the buyer. Sometimes my prices are way too low and the card(s) get instantly purchased and other times they get zero interest. When people send me PM's telling me what Ebay prices are and then deduct 30%+ because they are a "reseller" there is a better chance of me flying than helping out that particular buyer.

It is my card and I can ask any price that I want for the card. No windowlicker will ever get me to think differently.

COMC is great i sell some items i would never sell on ebay and make more for them. Ya some stuff is really high but that's where you just need to wait it out or hope someone adds another . I bought i Bledsoe i needed a month ago for 3.25 that was a Hawaii Promo /10000 and still today the other one on the site is priced 100.00 .

No one is saying that they should list their prices 30% lower on COMC then ebay....heck I don't even think they need to list them lower....just in the same ball park!

I've tried to go the same route as the OP. There's a 2006 Playoff Joseph Addai 1/1 the seller wants over $200 for. The last two 1/1 Addai rookie autos set me back $50 and $60, respectively. I'm hoping he checks his account here but I doubt he will anytime soon since he's been offline for ages.

2006 Playoff NFL Playoffs Signature Proofs Platinum #83 - Joseph Addai/1 - COMC (http://www.comc.com/Cards/Football/2006/Playoff_NFL_Playoffs_Signature_Proofs_Platinum/83/Joseph_Addai/3376023)

One can hope.
