Booklet Cards (Poll)

What are people's thoughts on the somewhat recent addition of booklet cards to the hobby?

I'm more of a traditionalist, so I tend to prefer my cards standard size, on a single piece of cardboard.

I like them, but as an ultra tough pull. Now, they are becoming as bland as the traditional jersey card.

To me, it really depends on how the booklet is made. Certain booklets are pretty ugly, but then for example I'd rather have this card than a normal piece of cardboard:

Like strata only 10 in all of strata. All are 1/1 with crazy goober patches.

I like a few booklets. They are bulky and tough to store. They better be worth it for me. That means an on card auto with nice material (jersey/patch).

I like booklets, but unless they're part of a set I am trying to master collect, I will not put forth any additional effort to get one unless it is low numbered.

I will be really tempted by the Booklets in National Treasures though.

I'm not a HUGE fan of booklets, but that is awesome!

idk why they make booklets... and not have cases made for them! Thats the most annoying thing about them, like My stafford Error below I wish I could find a damn case for it thats not gonna cost me 25 bucks... right now its sitting folded up in a 35 ct snap case! It cant be shown off!

This is the only booklet that I own - and its one of my fav cards all together, take away cAS SHOLE, I mean Cassel and it would be great!

For Example, look at Ultimate Collection 2013, is the booklet really necessary for an auto.:mad:
I don't mind playbook ones, except for the /499 or something like that. The versions #'ed to 25 or so are fine.

I mean, really... who wants a booklet #'ed out of 499... anything #'ed over 25 is ridiculous...

I agree, there are too many unnecessary booklet cards that could easily be compressed into standard size cards.

It seems like companies are using any excuse to stretch a card into a booklet in 2013.

For those that have redeemed a booklet before... How does Topps/Panini ship them?

Typically in one of those hard plastic two piece cases or snap cases with dummy and or Styrofoam to take up spacing. I've had no major issues receiving...nothing more then what would be expected out of pack, which would be one of my biggest complaints with booklets. Often dinged and wouldn't even consider grading with god awful slabs

I agree they are getting overused.. But the booklets of good players and the many variations of Playbook 1/1s this year was amazing!
