Looking to buy some war nickels, mercury dimes, Kennedy half dollars, etc. Is it best to buy on ebay? Thanks.

Not sure what would be really the best as far as deals go by it's not bad, always plenty of listings for them.

Ebay is great to sell because people pay way over spot but its horrible to buy because of the same reason. Most places online like JMbullion.com have free shipping and Ebay cant come nowhere close to their prices.

Please do not buy 'junk silver' type stuff on eBay. You are just asking to be scammed with fakes while trying to save 10 cents. There are many fair guys on this board who are reliable sources for generic silver as well as Eagles and bars. The fakes are so ridiculously good on halves, quarters and the rest so do yourself a favor and work with established guys OR, if you must buy on eBay, ONLY do so from places like Apmex, MCM or one of the other large dealers who have websites and physical locations and decades of experience. Good luck!

Don't buy junk silver on ebay. Its a rip-off and like nabzy said there could be fakes. Ask smackvay, he gives great prices and I have dealt with him personally.

I only buy from MCM or apmex on eBay.

Almost all my us silver coins have come from smackvay here.

I HIGHLY recommend staying away from ebay for 2 reasons
1. prices are inflated
2. fake coins and shady dealers

im not doing this as a sales pitch im letting you know so you don't get scammed or taken advantage of. A lot of people get burned on their 1st or 2nd deal and quit because of it, the coin hobby/stacking metal is a small group of people and we need as many people to stack and collect as the benefits are real.
