I switched to Windows 8 quite some time ago and lost the ability to use my Brother QL500 through PayPal shipping. Don't think it is the OS, because PayPal would display the correct label size, but would format the label as if it were 8.5x11. Couldn't figure it out, so I gave up on using it.

Here is how you can fix it:
Click on your PROGRAMS and then click on JAVA.
Then click on the CONFIGURE JAVA tab.
On the Java Control Panel pop up, click on SECURITY at the top.
Move the security level down to MEDIUM and click APPLY.
Now you can print labels. :)!
This happened to zillions of people on Tuesday morning.

I actually had a similar thing happen with my scanner when I updated Java.
Had to uninstall half my computer, reinstall it & get it back together again.
Needless to say I made some tweaks to my software & now my computer is running much faster than before.
Guess sometimes frustrating It issues can be a blessing.
Alright Tech Gurus latest Java update brought the issue back.
This time there are only two security settings high and very high........brilliant Java developers.
Can't print in chrome, IE or Firefox. Even added ebay site to exception list and still doesn't work.

can you uninstall the update? I have been told to not do any java updates for the last 6 plus months because it wrecks everything it touches.

Yup Java sucks assh()les!!
Spoke to ebay. If anyone runs into this issue do this. Copy and past this link in the excpetion list within the Java Console:

This did the trick for me and can now print. Told ebay they need to figure out a fix as the rep I spoke to said she had about 5-6 callers today with same issue.
