The show will be at Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine February 15th and 16th.

Beckett will be there to RCR and we still have a couple of tables left. We do have some show cases for rent as well provided enough notice. More than 30 tables already sold to some medium to large dealers and a few collectors.

PM me for more information. Tables are $150 for the first and $100 for each additional.

If I can remember, I'll give this a whirl. I haven't been to a card show in 20 years but why not? Is there an entry charge?

Might be worth a road trip Saturday.. There has not been a card show in this area in 15 years so might be fun..

I have been to Great Wolf Lodge in grapevine before, what part of the building is the show located in? What are the hours?

I believe it is $3 and I don't believe we charge for kids who are with parents.

It will be a good show, bring some cards to grade, money to buy, and cards to sell/trade!

The show is in the main section of the hotel, sorry, but I do not recall the room name. Opens at 9am.

I plan on checking it out today. Hoping for Stanton's.

Thoughts:

First card show in 20 years. :)! Only found four Stanton's at the whole place, luckily the one below was on the bucket list and I got a good price. :flex: Unfortunately I also bought a box of wax (2013 Topps Minis) and I should have just lit that $50 on fire and saved the trouble. Need an emoticon of hitting myself in the head with a hammer.

All in all I'm not sure what to make of the whole experience. Seems like all of the dealers knew each other and spent more time buying, selling and trading inventory amongst themselves. Most of the buyers just dug through the bargain boxes. I guess it is exactly as I thought it would be with the internet being what it is. Two cool things though, saw a superfractor (actually a few) in person for the first time. Ehhhhh. Also saw a Babe Ruth auto in person.:eek::eek::eek::eek: That in and of itself made the whole trip worthwhile.

Also met BO member Kevinshreves, seemed like a cool dude and we chatted for ten minutes or so. Probably saw a few others but no other real conversations. Didn't know which guy TSJCT was so wasn't able to have him make good on paying my gas or taking me out to the parking lot. :D

Same to you. How was the day for you? Do you think this is something that can build?

I'm probably not the right guy for shows because when you only pc one player it makes it hard to find anything worth going for. There were plenty of people that seemed to like digging in the bargain boxes though but to me it seems that stuff would move faster and for more by just sending it in to COMC. I used to love doing shows as a kid but the internet has really almost made them obsolete. Pretty decent turn out though and there were some really nice cards. Puig 10/10 BC auto, Ruth auto, multiple Mantle autos, multiple Jordan rc's and tons of other high end.

Once I got to know the 'locals' that might be worth going for. It did seem like everyone knew each other and were basically hanging out. That is pretty cool and I could see doing that as well while also buying/selling.

It was good for me. Bought a small lot, and sold a bunch of stuff that I didn't want. I hope this continues, as I hate the fact that DFW is so big yet has so few shows.
