Teach me how to buy. Please.

I want to buy Resale I think, because I have no other way of funding my card spending, $30 Paypal, but I don't know what to buy, I have never done resale, and up to this point have only ever bought for PC, any help/offers and advice are welcome. I didn't know what section to put this in because I want to buy but also want advice. Thanks in advance.

Resale won't happen just cause you want it to. It takes a lot of patience, time, and research. This is especially true if you are starting off with just $30, as there will be less wiggle room.

If you're looking for long term investment/resale, I would look at players who are on playoff teams now and buy a nice single of said player. Come playoff time those cards go up in value, especially if the team/player does well.

What I do is I just scour these boards and Ebay for good prices and work my way up slowly. On ebay, look for poor listing titles and also set automatic bids for auctions that end on bad times. There are only 1 or 2 cards in my bucket that have costed me over $30, so it's been working pretty well for me.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it, I am looking for minimal profit between $5-7. What should I do for quicker profit? Not like long term playoff? Is there such a thing?

For a quick flip, the best is to scour eBay for poor listings (ending in the middle of the day on a weekday, misspellings, etc). They aren't as prevalent as they once were but you'll find some. Otherwise you can be a prospector (buying RCs cheap and hoping they become a star, not as easy in BB though b/c they come in w/ hype and stuff already). Good luck, I used to do it and then realized I was spending money on cards I didn't need/want and had too much laying around. Now I only spend my money on PC stuff and can always use that stuff to trade if I find something I want more.
