What do we think the price point is going to be on this? With the rookie class being what it was what are you looking for out of your boxes/case breaks that you've seen previewed so far?
Personally I want the Kam Chancellor auto patch or notable nicknames auto, the quad patch of the legion of boom, and the Calvin Johnson and Deion Sanders notable nicknames autos.

Overpriced, per usual. $400 a box?

I'm hoping somewhere between $350-$400. Anything over that and I don't think people will be super interested in it

This rookie class hasn't stopped Panini from overpricing other products (Panini Black). I would guess it would start out at $400/box then probably shoot up like always. At least with NT you get a nice variety of Vet autos and some very nice patches.

True other products focus too much on rookies and lack a lot of vet autos/patches. NT pretty good with mixing up rookies/vets/HOFers. Looking forward to the notable nicknames set!!

Very true! As am I. I think they will be like the virtuoso autos from last year

Panini hasn't released a football product this year that isn't sitting at a 30-50% discount what it released for. Collectors would be better served to wait and create a buyers market.

you act like black won't drop like the rest of the mediocre products released so far...especially after the Inception-like chipping.....

It will be the same price as last years! Regardless of the RC class.

no chance of a price drop. they will add more vets or an additional auto per box to add "incentive".

Of course it will...probably drop by 50%..the question was what will the price point of NT be, I'm guessing $375-400 and I would guess it'll go up after release, when is the last time National Treasures started that low and went down?

When is NT expected to release?

Ok, I'll address the pink elephant in the room. I'm sure Panini will have no choice to at least start the pricing on par with last year, but will collector's, group breakers, etc., rip with anywhere near the usual intensity with the poor rookie class AND the very real possibility of an announcement of Flawless football shortly after release? I personally think there will be Flawless football this year as veteran content in Panini product this year has been terrible. I used to think of Limited as a poor man's National Treasures because of the vet content but it has sadly become a very rookie based product also.

Treasures has been known to have additional autos/memorabilia cards in each box as it is. I can't imagine it would go down after release regardless of the rookie class just because the vet autos in it are plentiful

Price will be $500 per box. Same as last years. Remember, price went up a $100 a box last year. Previous years were $400 a box

But there was also much better prospects last year. If it starts at 500 this year I can't imagine many people buying it

If Panini Black presold (and still is) at $180/box, NT will be at least $500, if not more.
Everything this year has been drastically overpriced

Has anyone seen current box prices on 2013 releases? Blowout has most of them SLASHED - Panini and Topps products. PRICES ARE SLASHED!

From what panini has shown us it looks pretty nice but like a couple of you I can't imagine myself dropping $400 + for a box of this. I would much rather go for singles.

Methinks there will be more focus on better high end veteran/HOF hits this year with the obvious lack of 'franchise' qb's in this rookie class.

Agreed, but that lack of Rookie focus may make the price cheaper

I think the secondary wax prices will reflect this, but the online retailers are going to continue selling at their regular pricing points at MSRP. Happens the same way in basketball even with dismal rookie classes. Worst case is the retailers keep it at MSRP and don't raise their prices, but they never are willing to take a hit on NT even if the sales aren't great.

If anything it may be more expensive. Getting more Veteran/Retired autos and patches will cost Panini more money. Rookies are much cheaper to get.
I wouldn't be surprised to see boxes at around 475-500 pre-sale.
