I see in Raider news they have signed CFL Grey Cup MVP RB Kory Sheets. I don't follow the CFL at all. Does anyone know much about him?

Sheets went to purdue and was an unsigned rookie in 2009 i believe. He played in the NFL for a season I believe. He ripped up the CFL this year, grey cup mvp and set some rushing records. Living in Saskatchewan I was able to follow and watch Sheets a bit as he played for the roughriders. I'm not a scout but the thing I noticed about Sheets is he doesn't follow his blocks and constantly tries to break it outside. He had great speed and moves very well laterally which is how he breaks so many tackles. Not sure if he can do that at the NFL where the players are quicker but I think he'll do okay as anyone can do playing for the raiders.....

If this is the case, he will get eaten alive in the NFL.

He has a ton of speed and ability. He tore his knee up with Miami but he definitely has some talent.

To be fair, any RB not named McFadden did pretty well last year at RB. The only RB that had more yards than Jennings over the last part of the season was Peterson.

Not sure what to think of this , an old RB who just now has found his legs. I just hope Lat Murray is the real deal like he was in college. And we try to get Grimes and or Verner and resign jarod and lamar

I think a guy that has been cast out of the NFL, busted his balls in the CFL and now has a 2nd chance in the NFL is going to be a very dangerous man. Not many guys can say they got a 2nd chance in the BIG SHOW.
You will probably have to kill him to stop him.

Yep I hope Murray is going to be good. Fingers crossed Jennings is re-signed as he went pretty well last year too. Along with Veldheer, Houston and Pat Sims who played really well at DT. Verner would be awesome signing if we could (Grimes would be my second choice) along with Alex Mack (move Lil Wiz back to LG) and hopefully another pass rusher like Michael Bennett (I wouldn't mind seeing Jared Allen in the Silver and Black too).

Great point! I hope so. The RB position could be pretty deep with Sheets, Jennings (I think he will be re-signed) and Murray.

I didn't see the numbers of the deal but if it was cheap I'm OK with it but hopefully they didn't spend a lot. What they need to do is get a damn QB worth a #@#@#@#@. In terms of free agents I'm hoping they get orakpo and obviously re sign Houston and Jared v then get some db help
