Manziel will be the top rookie in the class.

Since TC superfractors won't be out till later in the season, it'll depend on how they are playing. Probably manziel, but if Teddy does awesome while Manziel bombs...

 Why isn't Zac Dysert on the poll?

Johnny's price will dwarf all others.

One of these names is not like the others (in the public's mind).

probably going to be a lot of people wanting the sam, especially if he makes a team and is getting PT, other than that manziel will be way more than everyone
Everybody knows who Manzeil is so he will be the highest no matter how he plays

I went for Manziel, but I think if Sam doesn't have an auto version, then his non-auto version could sell very well.

My thoughts too. And why I put non-auto, because I don't think Sam will have one.
I think his non-auto super and auto'd Championship Ticket will be his two most valuable cards - so how will a player who represents a cultural milestone sell compared to the most-hyped rookies? We shall see...

Absolutely. I look at how well Derrick Coleman SAGE autos have sold since the Duracell commercial featured about him being deaf, and even though deaf and gay are completely different, I can see Sam having high selling prices for a defensive player drafted where he will probably end up being drafted (mid-round pick I think) because of the appeal he will have to the gay community.

Manziel will easily outsell all others in this class.

Just so there's clarity in this poll: I'm not asking whose cards overall are going to sell the best - just a single card. The superfractor.
Basically, does anyone think that, given the craziness of the last two years with supers, two incredibly wealthy might drop $50,000 bids to win the defining rookie card of a guy that many (save the debate for the other thread) will see as the next Hank Aaron-type player?

I think in general, you are correct Manziel will be the top selling Rookie this year (I guess it depends where he lands in some way too). But if Sam is not featured in many releases (as general for most mid-later round defensive guys), and he does not have an auto in the Topps Chrome, his non-auto Super could sell very, very well.

I don't think so. This guy isn't the second coming of Jackie Robinson. He's a defensive player that is likely to be drafted late if at all. He'll sell better than any other guy in his position would normally, but his Super won't sell for a quarter of what the Manziel will sell for, and that's being generous.

Agree. Honestly, I really don't think that many people care about Michael Sam's "story" regardless of your opinion on homosexuality (key word: MANY). It's not a surprise the media is all over it (actually it's kind of died down....) but if you think you're going to make bank because he broke the "sexual orientation" barrier, I think you're gonna be disappointed. If he's an awesome player, different story, but this is NOTHING near Jackie Robinson. Not even sure why he made this list...

It will be someone else since none of them are likely (IMHO) to be the breakout rookie this year, and someone usually always stands out above the rest.
Manziel will probably be #2 or 3 but I'm guessing the top spot will go to whoever the ROY favorite is
