Thought it was going to be between Durant/Lebron, but kyrie come out of nowhere, this should raise his value back up a little bit. :special:

Kyrie is the kid in gym class trying way too hard. There's a reason these vets don't go all out during what is essentially a practice game. Kyrie needs more maturity.

i thought all star is a talent show? esp players just having fun, enjoy playing the way they like to play. hedonic competition over tactics, playbook, full court pressure defense that designed for what players paid to do

And you're the guy who takes any situation and make it negative

Disappointing 1st half for Kyrie, this might help.

What young player early in their career wouldn't go all out in an all star game...?
And ''these vets" were all trying to look good too...
There's a big difference between a baller that can do these "showtime" moves to a guy that can't and tries to force it, Kyrie is a baller at heart.

This may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard
kyrie has such an aesthetically pleasing game - maybe one of the most exciting non-high flying game of anyone playing today.
i could watch him spin the ball off the glass pretty much all day. he uses english to get the ball up and down better than anyone else in the league right now, in my opinion.

Absolutely - and as a biased Cavs fan that's why I said he'd win MVP in the other thread. His game is built for "ASG" type situations.
The trick becomes does he become Isiah Thomas or Stephon Marbury going forward in his day to day career.
If Dion Waiters can be 75% of the Waiters we saw Friday night than that'd go a long way to helping Irving take the next step.

Impressed enough to waste your time posting.
Also it's quite a compliment that you couldn't be more impressed.

Why do people hate so much they talk negative when he does bad and also when he does good the kid is nice and will be one of the best in the league one day
I am biased towards the latter, but the backlash on kyrie this year has seemed very similar to the rg3 backlash. I'm rooting for kyrie.

Kyrie tried hard in the 4th... the quarter where everyone actually does try hard.

If Irving played like he did in the All Star Game during the regular season, Cleveland would be a top 4 seed in the East.

So scoring 25 a game with6-8 assists is not playing hard? Get your head out if your ass and understand its TEAM defense where they lose and Kyrie does his best 110% every night.

People did this with lebron, crosby, durant when they were younger
Gm's where polled if they had to start a franchise what player would you take 1st
The only ones that got votes were
durant
lebron
kyrie

Somebody's gotta win it....
I feel that all-star games are not as they once were, where players take it seriously! It's become more of a "show" than anything else. Oh look at my modern day "cool" moves, and not so much I'm going to drop the most points by force!!!
Oh well, times change, what can we do.

I gotta say I loved this years AS game. High scoring, highlight dunks and wasn't a blowout at any time. The dunk contest minus Lillard and Wall was horrible, 3 pt shootout was uneventful bu the game I liked.
