Hey guys. Been lurking on this site for years. Finally thought I'd contribute. Just got this email a few hours ago from Beckett. Wasn't too bad putting the rainbow together- just a little dent in the wallet. But it was worth it. So excited about the grades!!! Effin' purple die-cut ruined it! But I think the kid is great, his personality is top notch and I believe his ceiling is ridiculous. Can't wait to get cards in hand and I will post pics.

Also attached a few other gems out of my PC. Orange Durant is prolly my favorite card I own. I'm attaching the John Wall for trade offers. Don't really care for him. Looking for more Giannis, Paul Goldschmidt, Olajuwon or anything H-Town.

Anyways, thought you'd guys would like to see this. I hope to be a good member in the future- no more lurking. Cheers.

Man I was thinking the same thing. The edge cut isn't bad it just has a little bubble along a side. Part of me is like, 'Fukc it. It's PC and 9 aint terrible' but the other part of me is wandering whether to go ahead and get another. I like the fact all the serial numbers are in order though. I'd gladly trade the green 10 to have a purple 9.5. But as long as the Gold is 9.5...... I really, truly can't complain tho.

I'd like for people to seriously help me put a price tag on this rainbow. It's difficult because I have never seen anything like this. All the BGS serial numbers are in sequential order too.

Not interested in selling private over blowout. It'll be listed Buy It Now on ebay for high. What should I list it for?

I don't know his ebay. Gary V is new to the Hobby. He is a motivational speaker who has amassed a very large following by which of the following methods, choose wisely:

A) telling people to be content with what they have, think less about yourself, and put more time and efforts into building relationships with others and serving their community

OR

B) Selling hope to people that they can get ahead of other people and be richer by sacrificing their time to work more and do certain side projects that will earn them more money.

It's not that it's a piece of cardboard, it's that it's a piece of cardboard that is priced so much based on speculation. Look at prices of high end cards of Hall of Fame players with huge followings and see how their accomplishments compare to Giannis. It's pretty absurd. If he gets hurt and never wins another MVP or championship, it's going to be an Andrew-Luck-like drop in prices.

This is the right answer. People place incorrect value on rainbows...usually they sell for less as a group then as individuals because honestly, someone can pick up all of the cards anytime they want with the exception of the gold and maybe the orange or purple.

The Gold is the key to this lot. As others have said, do whatever you need to do, but if are interested at all in hanging on to something hang on to the gold.

Was offered 17k for gold yesterday. I'm sure that's a decent offer but still low. Thinking about giving the rainbow to PWCC or Probstein.

Just a random thought to consider before selling... You could probably increase the overall value of this rainbow by upgrading the Purple Die Cut (from BGS 9 to BGS 9.5) and downgrading the Green (from BGS 10 to BGS 9.5).

These two changes would standardize the entire rainbow on BGS 9.5, which I have to assume would be appealing to the type of collector who would purchase something like this.

Just my $0.02... Best of luck with whatever you decide to do.

No, I meant exactly what I said... And I said exactly what I meant.

Sell:
- Purple Die Cut BGS 9
- Green BGS 10

Buy:
- Purple Die Cut BGS 9.5 (upgrade)
- Green BGS 9.5 (downgrade)

The net result would be upgrading the rainbow to all BGS 9.5s, which is more desirable to some -- myself included -- than the same rainbow containing a BGS 9 and a BGS 10.

Was just thinking about this thread after someone posted the Orange 9.5 that's at 11k now.

We were all giving this guy lots of credit for doing a great job selling, but unfortunately for him, most of these have nearly doubled in price over just a 4 month period.
