Seems to me like this product was made for group breaks. It is noted that each box contains roughly the same Resale value. Which means they are getting their markup, so not sure why anyone would buy them to bust and keep all.

I always love it when our hobby gets pub on ESPN, but I'm definitely undecided about how I feel about this product. Mystery boxes are great. And there are some really BIG pulls.... It would definitely be a fun product to open.

I agree with much of what you are saying regarding this product.

One thing I might say is there are pieces in this box that really are intriguing (Kobe, Jordan auto jerseys and Lebron and Barkely game used jerseys…) that any collector wouldn't mind owning. However, I agree that it doesn't warrant spending $400 on a break spot considering the bottom 7 spots probably won't get 1/4 of the value spent. Not to mention the bottom 2 or 3 spots would probably get railroaded worse than any case/box break in recent history.

One thing I would like to see would be a combination case break (as I referenced in an earlier post). 1 Super Box, 2 Flawless Cases, and 3 Immac Immaculate. That should get the price per spot below $150 thus mitigate much more of the risk, and reward higher value for the larger portion of draft positions.

Side Note: The way Immaculate cases have recently been there is a reasonable chance that there will be extra hits, which should be "snaked" back to the bottom draft spots. Thus, slightly raising the value of those spots even more.

I don't see any other way I would be getting a piece out of this product other than a combo break, particularly since all the boxes have similar "retail" value. What that tells me is if you hit a Jordan Autograph Jersey in a box then the remaining 9 hits will probably be BGS 8.5 Sam Bowie 2nd year cards. No fun in that, especially if you're in a 10 person break.

blowout liquidates their old inventory too.. but i feel like they do it in a much more fun way..and the cost/reward seems better

The James game worn jersey has been pulled. It's not even close to your $10K guess. The jersey was auctioned on Grey Flannel in December and sold for $4875.
