Just checking, but I assume you realise the black part of that patch is actually patch and not jersey, right?

Yeah, those patches are from his number nine on a home jersey. Panini did not leave enough edging from the numbers in the patch.

Let's see more ribbing patches and silk screen patches. Anyone have an unraveled patch where the stitching sticks out from the card because of how the patch was cut?

I've had a number of all white "Prime" Patches.... Don't mind an all white basic GU, but a Prime Patch. Come on!!

I've collected authentic jerseys since early high school, when adidas took over and started doing the Climacool jerseys a year ago, they made the jersey material much lighter, as well as changed the material on the numbers and logos, which is what the card collecting community would call a "patch". So for the newer jerseys used on cards, the material is now what you see in that Rudy Gay card.

So technically, yes, those are officially patches.
