Hey guys,

I'm opening a case of 2011 Topps Lineage tonight.

Haven't opened any of the product over the last 2-3 years, but figured it would be a fun break and worth a shot since the cost/box seems to continue to be falling.

The question I have for those who have opened some quantity of the product, what should I keep an eye out for as I'm opening the packs?

Are there SPs? SSPs? Base card variations, etc?

If I'm not mistaken, I think this product was amongst those where you have a shot at a bonus Topps 60th Birthday Auto.

According to the product breakdown, the only things besides base (non-serial #'d inserts) noted are:

- Printing Plates (1/1)
- Canary Diamond (1/1)
- 1975 Minis (no serial #'ing?)
- Diamond anniversary parallels (no serial #'ing?)
- Platinum diamond parallels (no serial #'ing?)

Thanks!

Just have fun with the break and remember the case was cheap for a reason

No Sps, No SSPs, No variations and not much numbered at all. I just finished a case last week.

Curiously, I pulled 3 redemptions, of which only 1 shows up on Ebay when I search for the live OR the redemption auto. The other two don't show up at all for live or a redemption.

Yeah, I hear you. I imagine if there was anything amazing that you could regularly pull, the cases wouldn't be down at the price point where they are.

Who were your 3 auto redemptions for?

Who were your 3 auto redemptions for?

Bob Addis, Ed Errautt, and Fergie Jenkins.

I did pull a 1/1 plate of A-Fraud, as well.

The case was a lot of fun to open with all the names and cool parallels, but all my relics were ho-hum, with the exception of the Johnny Mize bat. Good luck on yours.

FYI, the redemptions expire 7/31/14.

Op, as far as I know the canary Stanton is still in play. Pull that bad boy and sell it to meeeeee.

there are some Jumbo Relics /5 as well as a few decent on card reprint autos of Ryan, Koufax, Musial, & Kaline...maybe a few others as well.

Yeah, I think it will be a fun break even if I don't hit anything spectacular... I've seen a few people's posts over the years showing off some pretty nice HOF relics (Mantle/Koufax/etc).

I'll try, I would love to hit a plate or a canary of a HOF'er/active star player.

Yeah, would be nice to hit a jumbo relic or a nice reprint auto... I'm guessing they are really tough pulls though

I will also mention that I loved the look of the 1952 reprint autos that I got. None of them are worth much, but they look great in my display case which shows off mainly 1940-1970s baseball memorabilia.

Those 1952 reprint autos made each box that much more fun, and some of those guys are getting up there in age, so I can't imagine too many more certified autos of some of them.

Have fun! It's a great product.

Thanks, looking forward to seeing the reprints!

I'll post a recap and scans of the hits over the box break section later on tonight.

I collect a lot of cards.

I was intrigued by the lineage set when it came out.

I have been trying to put together a master master master set of this.

I have 43 parallel canaries 1/1 of the 200.
I need 6 canary relics of the 99 numbered to ten.
I need 6 canary autos of the 87 (that exist) numbered to ten.
I need 7 of the anniversary patch cards numbered to 5. (I have 18 of the 25)

I have 122 / 200 different printing plates (need 88 more)

I also have 6 / 25 3d Red backs 1/1's.

WOULD LOVE SOME HELP FINISHING THIS IN MY LIFETIME!!

Now I'm tempted to drop the 4 bills. How rare per case are the /10s?

I didn't pull one in my case. I did pull a 1/1 A-Rod plate, but that was it for numbered cards.

I've bought lots of cases.
Typically you would get 1 canary per case.
I've opened up cases with none however.
