Mike Zunino? Hyped prospect who will definitely underwhelm this year...
>>>Javier Baez

Nolan Arenado? Solid but unspectacular rookie season which is pretty much what is expected.... >>> Nick Castellanos

Jose Fernandez? Best Rookie Pitcher by a wide margin... >>> Archie Bradley

Marcell Ozuna? Underhyped hitting prospect who will surpass expectations... >>>Julio Morban

Michael Wacha? Rookie Pitcher who is key to playoff success...
>>> Zach Lee

Xander Bogaerts? Best Septermber call-up.... >>> Addison Russell

Curious to hear everyone's ideas on these... or feel free to add in your own examples!

Ozuna, Davidson.

If Davidson wins the starting job, he has the power to hit 25 30 HRS and is on a new team and has really been underrated so far after winning a few awards including the Futures Game MVP for the homer he smashed into the stands at Citi Field.

Looks like you opened up a can son. :flex: Let's get a few things straight.

Profar was not an everyday player and did not have a set position.
Polanco should be a mid-season call-up and will be all pitchers can handle while playing a very athletic LF, certainly nothing underwhelming about being a 5-tool player.

Zunino had under 200 PA. He would not be the first young player to press. I look for him to play a strong position this season with an improved eye at the plate. His strikeout rate was out of line for the type of bat he has shown. I see him in the .280 range with 12-15 HR's.
Baez may take his lumps but should be fun to watch but only for a little experience this season in the bigs.

Arenado was spectacular. He was the second best defensive 3rd baseman in MLB behind Machado. That is nothing to scoff at. He does not strikeout a lot and I see him being able to get his average up this season as well as add some pop. I would take him on my favorite team in a heart beat. As for Castellanos, well he is going to have a long season at 3rd and with the bat.

Ventura gets the nod for me though I do not see him or any rookie pitcher touching what Fernandez did.

Did Ozuna play enough to pass any expectations? I do like J. Morban though. I will say J. Singleton is going to impress people.

For a rookie playoff pitcher, I will go with Zimmer from the Royals. I look for him to explode onto the seen.

Best September call-up, I will go with Taveras. :flex:

Bogaerts, Lindor.

Fernandez, nobody will live up to what Fernandez did but Walker and Ventura will do well.

I also feel Baez is gonna be great.

Playoff Pitcher, Taillon, if he makes it up this year.

And I feel Arenado is obviously gonna be great defensively and he is gonna have more power than what ppl expect.

Clearly no one is going to be Fernandez, but I'm saying Bradley will be best by a wide margin. Like Fernandez was easily best, Shelby Miller or Teheran a distant 2nd. This year I'm saying Bradley is clear best, followed by Syndergaard as arguable 2nd.

I think Profar will be good in the same way Polanco will be good, just not expecting to see it this year for him.

Don't believe Baez will tear it up either, and I'm more expecting him to have a rocky start. Should be a low avg high power guy at a premium position for a while though.

Disagree that Arenado was spectacular in year one (aside from great defense which was expected) I do fully expect him to continue to improve though, I think he has good work ethic and because of his defense has a long leash which will minimize the pressure on him.

Ventura is a solid pick I wouldn't be surprised if he had success.

Taveras, I am most excited about among all prospects for when he makes the big club.
