I just feel like they're to common now. Ive been out of collecting since 04 but had a surge to get back in. And now its an autograph pull from every 30th pack. Maybe its just me but i think they should be more rare that this. Agree? Disagree? Maybe i should stop complaining now that i have more than i ever did. I dont know. Let me know.

I agree. It used to be a big deal to pull an auto. Now you can buy a blaster of EEE and get 3 autos and a relic. I wish they would put more veteran autos in the regular products though. I mean like one vet every 2 boxes or something with a decent checklist. With all the autos you may end up with 6 $1 autos out of a box.

Agreed. I don't keep a lot of autos in my collection besides certified, pack pulled HOF autos, my Mark Trumbo autos, and some Pirates autos.

I remember when I was just starting collecting (early 2000s) and pulling a JSY card was a huge deal for me, now the bulk of them are worth $1 or less

I'm never lucky at pulling anything great so in 2001 when i pulled a chipper jersey i thought i was gonna die

There have always been worthless autographs in products since day one really.

Whether or not autographs were one per box or one every 6 boxes...you're bound to have a lot of dogs.

I completely agree. Make the autos much rarer and limit them to a checklist people would actually be happy with. I hate that there are products with 10,000 autographs, but 9,000 of them are variations of Cueto, Lynn, or Phillips.

I'd much rather have 1 auto every 5-10 boxes, but keep the checklists to top to high mid tier players only.

True story, the first GU card I ever pulled was a Chipper out of a 2002 UD blaster.

Definitely agree. I have been saying for years that one of these years we will have a "Base Set" that are all auto'd

You can tell there are too many autos already of a player when a guys autograph sells for a ton for one set but his auto hardly sells for anything in another set. That just shows that people value which card the autograph is on more than the players actual autograph.

I have been trying to find a way to get rid of commons from mostly 80s 90s .
I dont want to throw them in the trash. I really wanna downsize my collection to just the personal collection. So what do you with your cards you don't want.

When you start considering just throwing them in the trash...then they're too common.

i remember back in the 90s when an auto was worth hUNDREDS and the now common INSERT cards were the cards to get...wish it was still like that honestly

Totally becoming common. Prices have been low on autos which in my terms means overproduced.
