Should be a good game. Who you got??
Both teams haven't been playing the best but I think this is where it turns around for the Pacers.
I'm saying Pacers 94, Heat 88

I will take the Pacers at home. Assuming they get back to playing Pacers ball pre All Star break style. 96-92 Pacers.
If Pacers play like they have been the past 5 games, it will be an ugly loss.

I was at the last game between the two. I really think homecourt means a lot to both. Key is 2 guys from Indy get hot doesn't matter who from the starting 5 and the game will be close in the end and then its anyone's game. Go Pacers!!!

Wade is playing so that's a plus for the heat, both teams playing terrible at the moment, I give the edge to Miami because they know they need this one in the race for the top seed. But you never know, big time players get up for the big games so watch out for PG24

Since when do you win or lose a championship in the regular season?
They're going to be at the very least the #2 seed.
The only opponent that can match them (in the East) is the Pacers.
And that series is probably going to go 7 games.
With all that being said, I think that SA or OKC can definitely win it all.

Two bad turnovers and a questionable three point shot from Lebron.

After thinking about it, the heat can benefit being a second seed. First round vs bobcats and second round probably Raptors.
On the other side Indiana have to meet Chicago or Nets in the second round.
Miami could sweep both series, that would give some time to rest wade.
Home Court advantage would have been great but in order to be a Champion you need to win on the road.

Doesn't matter Heat got #1 or #2 in East, they wouldn't get #1 overall. I think you are 100% right that they may just want to get #2 seed and have an easier route to eastern finals

this game would make me feel very uncomfortable if im a pacer fan. in fairness hibbert wasn't on the court in the 2nd half much, but he'll also not likely score 17 in the first again if they meet. so if you call that a wash, it took a miscalled 3 to 2 pointer from wade and a west 3 pointer to close out that game at home. i just don't trust this indiana team. i smell a threepeat which sucks as a knick fan.

That's why i dont take this games seriously. Just learn from them and move on.
Few things i saw (as a Heat fan):
-Miami started slow and let hibbert take control early.
-Oden is not that important as we thought it would be.
-Haslem can take the challenge.
+18 turnovers by heat vs 10 by pacers
+Bosh only 8pts, wade only 15pts, no ray allen or battier.
(also no beasley but i dont think the coach will use him on road games, maybe not even in the whole series)
At the end of the day i see a finals rematch spurs heat
and pray for ray allen to hit the three again lol :D (spurs is that good!)

There were a lot of bad calls last night, but the official clearly made a mistake on that one. Even a Pacers fan like me can admit that. ;)
Had Miami not had 18 turnovers... Had Bosh not gone 3-11 from the field, had Chalmers not gone 2-10 from the field, etc etc etc.

I couldn't watch the game live today and turned my phone off and went without the internet all day to...
This game was worth it....
I don't know how many times those kind of games have fallen to Miami getting some kind of miracle in the last minutes with either Bosh,Wade,Chalmers,Jesus and even LeBron hitting big shots....
But this time finally it went the other way and of all people West hits a 3.....what? West hits a 3? wtf?????
LeBron played well all game and kept Miami in it, but again he chooses to NOT take critical shots?
Why does he want the ball in his hands with say 2.5-4.0 minutes to go, but as soon as it's winning time he CHOOSES to pass?
Why on earth would someone having a great game with 38 pts, not want to take the most important shots???
It's nice to know he isn't fooling EVERYone any more and his true colors come out in games like this....
He's capable of hitting any shot or make any play, but he chooses not too when the pressure is on most of the time, he has shown in the past with the right mindset (in the zone) he can do anything...
If the Pacers can win those kind of games where they can fall either way on a single shot or play...
Miami will not make the Finals....
I'm calling it now Pacers in 5! Goes to 6 Pacers still win, goes to 7 Miami win...
Going to be a tuff road for any team to win the championship this year that's for sure!

Some notes from the game.
Lebron will probably have two games in the series where he will need to score 40 because Wade and company can't bring if every night.
Beasley deserves a role on this team. Normally it seems like he plays mostly when Wade is out.
Refs had some sketchy calls both ways. Lebron elbow and Wade three. Also the Stepehnson double technical. In regards to his second technical I personally feel like players shouldn't be given technicals for staring at other players.
Pacers won, but the Heat should feel pretty well since only Lwbron showed up basically.

I look forward to you openly lobbying for the refs to give the Pacers a free fastbreak taken away because of an inadvertent whistle, and negate the four free throws shot by D Wade on his phantom foul from Evan Turner and Birdman's missed alley oop where he wasn't touched.

Lebron is a team guy he ran the play the coach obviously set up, so to taking the last shot in the post game interview u can tell he was upset about not having the last shot.
It was a drawn play which he ran perfectly but bosh didn't make it and they lost.
Also its a regular game and wade was starting to to get it going before he came out.
Which was another advantage on the pacers side.
Either way pacers home and they lost by 1, I think playoff time comes it will be different, well we can hope lol.

He travels often, as does Wade. What's worse is LBJs stiff arm with his off hand but tons of stars do it and get away with it and travelling is pretty much never called.
All in all this was a fairly officiated, it was a mess on both sides. Still can't get over the ejection of Lance, shows how soft the league has gotten that grown men in the heat of competition can't talk trash or get emotional anymore. Both techs were trash calls as was the flagrant on LBJ. There was absolutely zero intent with that elbow.
The flopping has to stop though (I'm looking at you Mario, I counted at least 4 straight up flops, one on a lay up attempt). Players need to stop acting like they just got hit with a crowbar and play the game. Refs need to lay off the whistles come playoff time and let it get physical.

I think people misunderstand the flagrant rules. A flagrant one is when a player is hit above the shoulders and the contact is deemed uneccessary. There does not have to be intent to call a flagrant one. Most elbows above the head are called flagrant one.
A flagrant two is excessive/intent driven.

hmmmm so his coach has no faith in him!
Spoelstra has seen LeBron fall apart under pressure and probably didn't want the ball in his hands after seeing him turn the ball over and miss a few and I can't blame him!
LeBron's always upset he didn't get this or that shot to end a game, but in reality he goes out of his way to avoid them!
No, not all the time...
When LeBron is confident, he's the player everyone thinks he is, when he isn't he's a liability under pressure.
Game 6 to game 7 last years finals shows the difference between a confident Lebron to a man that can't handle pressure unless he's super confident(having a great game)....

I guess I misunderstood the distinction between the two. Thanks for clarifying. That would be cause for the call but then the swipe at LBJ's face a few plays earlier needs to be called the same way then. IMO neither should be a flagrant. Its a contact sport and inadvertent shots to the face happen. 80's and 90's let that play happen all day.

I agree. It's just the way the rules are interpreted now. That is why they are reviewed to determine a 1 or a 2.

hmmmm so his coach has no faith in him!
What's a better shot in your opinion. LeBron being doubled with time expiring or a wide open jump shot with time expiring?
He takes what he is given most of the time. He's smarter then you and I when it comes to basketball and most of the time, making the pass to an open teammate is still the better shot, even if they miss. A forced up fadeaway 3 or double pumping and taking a jump shot are not high percentage shots. But once again, LeBron passing to an open Chalmers or Bosh and them taking an uncontested jump shot is much more likely to go in. I think one of the major issues is his teammates never seem to be ready to get the ball and they either fumble or bobble the ball around and that allows the D to close in.

I think people misunderstand the flagrant rules. A flagrant one is when a player is hit above the shoulders and the contact is deemed uneccessary. There does not have to be intent to call a flagrant one. Most elbows above the head are called flagrant one.
A flagrant two is excessive/intent driven.
I guess I don't understand how LeBron getting whacked in the face wasn't also a flagrant 1 then. Either they both are, or they both aren't.
The refs were wildly inaccurate in most of their calls during this game.

I did enjoy his selling of the foul from Ian Mahinmi though. Honestly. LeBron knows how to play the game.

It's really frustrating. I get the logic of killing the clock but I'd rather get a good shot with 2-3 seconds left and if you hit it, the pressure is on your opponents. Players that become black holes in the dying seconds are awful. It happened with the Raps on Tuesday with Vasquez. He drove with his head down, spun and threw the ball away. He had the mindset as soon as he touched the ball that he was driving and it screwed the team.

I have a problem with a player that can and does go sick ANY OTHER TIME in a game but come crunch time he isn't the same player...
I have no respect for anyone that changes the way he plays and goes out of his way SOMETIMES to avoid the pressure moments!
So yes of course taking a shot with 5 players on you is never a good idea....dah...
BUT if the player is good enough and is as good has people say, he should have ZERO problem creating enough space between himself and his 1-2-3-4-5 defenders to take a shot that can not be affected by anyone!
LeBron doesn't get doubled even remotely close to how the other greats use to and those guy's always wanted to take best shot THEY could create....
How many times have you seen LeBron NOT want to take or create these kind of shots?
LeBron should ALWAYS be the first option! But he isn't?
And when he is, he chooses to passssssssssssssssssssssssss!
When has it EVER been ok for the best player in the game to do what he does?
Yet he's regarded has the greatest player in the game today....

Your hate for him is unreal. He passes up the last second shot too much sometimes, I agree. I'm hoping his logic is that he would rather his teammates have a better shot then him having a contested shot. He is always the first option and his ability to read a defense when they collapse one of the things that makes him the best in the game. If Bosh makes that shot last night, this conversation isn't happening and true basketball fans would be praising LeBron for dishing the ball to the best option on that play.
Bosh missed, they lost and now people continually second guess LeBron and his lack of a "killer instinct". I can bet you that the team that LeBron is on has won several games off of one of his assists, but that's never mentioned.
In response to your quote that I bolded, making space doesn't mean it's a high percentage shot. I go back to my original point that as a leader of a team, I'm happier and more confident giving one of my teammates an open shot in the last seconds instead of forcing up a shot that's either well defended because of double teaming or a difficult shot.

Which is my point. In 4 years he's only had to to take 14 game winning shots and that's why you try to find something negative and pick at it.
Just for reference, this was from 2012. Shots taken with 24 seconds or less in the 4th quarter or overtime when tied or trailing by 1 or 2 points.
Carmelo Anthony - 51% (25 for 49)
Chris Paul - 41% (13 for 32)
Dirk Nowitzki - 36% (21 for 59)
Ray Allen - 35% (21 for 60)
LeBron James - 31% (21 for 68)
Vince carter - 30% (22 for 73)
Kobe Bryant - 30% (31 for 103)
Dwayne wade - 27% (15 for 56)
Joe Johnson - 26% (17 for 65)
Derrick Rose - 25% (8 for 32)
Kevin Durant - 24% (11 for 45)

Was a fun game to watch, only thing that took away from it was the TERRIBLE officiating. West and Wade both walked on their threes at the end...I wish the NBA could bring in some decent officiating, is that too much to ask?
On the play-call at the end, I thought it was brilliant. Bosh had a great look and just completely choked. I can't figure out why he was chucking up so many shots to begin with in the last five or so minutes.

Everyone will always complain about calls which is silly because nothing can be changed. It's a fact and it will always happen. The way you and I perceive a play might be different then how a ref sees it. Plain and simple.

The Heat lost plain and simple. You're ignorant if you put "Heat Fans" in one category and make generalizations. Based on your previous comments on the forums, that's the kind of person you are.
People can make excuses when it comes to their team winning or losing, that's what fans do. It's just a matter of not crossing the line because once it goes too far, it's impossible to converse with someone when they're opinions are beyond biased.

What are you talking about? He was the one that got the ball from inbound and passed to Bosh. He is part of the play. In fact, if he was wide open from screen, he would take it. If not (which was last night), he passed.
And you know it was like 2 seconds, not 0.8 second that he HAS to shoot. In 2 seconds, he had option. He chose to pass to wide open Bosh. Just the result did not come up nicely, does that mean the whole play was messed up?

Did LeBron say in the time out, hey everyone make sure to get me the shot?
No, he avoids it like the plague!
He could have easily turned and taken a shot!
But no, some how the best play is to pass to Bosh when he's having a not so great shooting night!
At the end of the day, I don't overly have an issue with what happened in the 2 seconds, the real problem I have is listening to him saying he wants these shots, yet tries to avoid them on purpose!
What is it going to take for people to see just how much pressure affects him?
Another game 6 with no Jesus to save him!
Anyway I'm turning into murrke here, it's so hard to type what ones thinking without sounding like a total hater....
So i'll give it a rest....
You keep bringing up game 6, and sure, we all know Ray Allen made the huge shot, but who took the shot immediately prior to that? Who got the team in the position to be within striking distance?
Lebron did take the shot that would have tied game six, he just missed, it happens. So I'm not really sure why you keep using this as proof that he doesn't want to take the last shot.

Apparently basketball is all about the last shot. Forget its a game that has 4 quarters, what happens when a team blows another team out in 3? Does that last shot count then? LOL

Oh yeah, MJ had 39 points in Game 6 1997 Finals. And he passed the ball to Kerr. Talking about taking one side of the story and keep on trolling.
"Did LeBron say in the time out, hey everyone make sure to get me the shot? No, he avoids it like the plague! He could have easily turned and taken a shot!"

That instance right there is the key....
MJ asked Kerr to get ready because he didn't think he'd get a good shot off or didn't in fact feel like he'd hit it!!!
What MJ doesn't say in the interview straight after the game is:
I wanted to shoot that shot!
SEE the Difference?
And in fact 11 times MJ has given up the final shot to another player over his career that I could find...
I guess this issue has more to do with LEBRON saying he wants the ball in his hands anytime a game is on the line.....

I am surprised anyone even responds to you. Your hatred for a single player far outweighs most I have seen in this forum.
Fair call, not like I intend or seek getting into the same debate over and over...
I'm surprised how many excuses people can come up with, it seems like he's done it over a 100 times!
So people think there needs to be 100 excuses made...
I guess this issue has more to do with LEBRON saying he wants the ball in his hands anytime a game is on the line.....

Excuses number 97....
Basketball games are not always controllable and the simple fact the better the team you play the more likelihood teams get into close end game situations...
All LeBron has to do is say, I'd rather let someone else shot in these situations...Not come up with excuse 98...
I guess this issue has more to do with him saying he wants the ball in his hands anytime a game is on the line.....

Re-watch the final 2-3 minutes...
Striking distance from 3 turn overs and 2 missed shots...
That's 5 separate times...
So he had the ball and what he did with it was to have one of the worst meltdowns ever seen in a Finals game, comparable to Magic's meltdown all those years ago!
I have a hard time being told by anyone that he doesn't have an issue with pressure....
So what does he do to cope with the pressure?
Avoids it altogether....Simple as that...
I guess this issue has more to do with him saying he wants the ball in his hands anytime a game is on the line.....

Now, I start to look like a troll because I have to reply to different people....
But it's all to do with one aspect of LeBron's game, it's not like I'd ever get into some BS thread about his personal life....Never have never will...On the court is all that matters...
I already said I'm over it and didn't want to continue, this time I wont

It doesnt matter how many game winners lebron hits or how many times he carries his team in big games, there's always people that will point out flaws and preach it as gospel. That's not the entire picture, never was never will be. Lebron could be perfect for 5 games in a row hitting all game winners, then the next game have a turn over or pass on the final shot and the usual people would discredit his entire career because of it. It's rediculous and it's tired. Lebron likes to have the ball in his hand during the end so he can make the best basketball play, not so he can constantly chuck up 35 foot jump shots while being triple teamed trying to play hero ball.

So you mean to say Robert Horry isn't the GOAT, because he always made the big shots and has more rings than Jordan? Say it ain't so
I thought only games that come down to hero shots and last second wins were the ones that determine how great a player really is. :)!
Bosh, Ray Allen, Mike Miller and Haslem combined for 0 points in a game 7 Finals! I guess Battier saved them LOL

Stop making so much sense! When you bring forth valid points, you upset the trolls.

I know, he only made the game winning points all of about five days ago against the Blazers. I guess that doesn't count given we all know he never wants to take the last shot.

Just because hegotgame says things that Lebron fans don't agree with doesn't mean he's a troll. He's different from our old buddy murrke because murrke would speak very condescendingly, and passive aggressively. Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in. The game doesn't mean much, just like most all of the nba regular season. We'll see what happens in the playoffs.

Not really, there were fighting for #1 spot in the East. I think there were 2 game difference before that game started.
