I do like Deng.

Yeah I would put Kobe maybe 3rd or 4th greatest Laker of all time.
Next year for Love? My guess is Boston or Minnesota, then Lakers in 2015-16.
I dont want the Celtics to trade for him but I could totally see it coming

Im okay with Love on the Celtics if he is the second option. They would need to pair a superstar with him and Rondo to really be contenders. Very unlikely that happens though.

Lakers should Trade for Love and try and pick up a Tyson Chandler type defensive anchor....
And in regards to Kobe, Cant say he is the Greatest Laker simply because Magic, Kareem, Wilt, West all had amazing careers with LA.
But I can say no one other than Mr. Bryant can actually be compared to THE GREATEST in MJ so the idea of saying Kobe is the Greatest Laker should not offend anyone.
As an LA Fan I can say we have been blessed to have such amazing players in Purple and Gold....Here's hoping that Love brings his talents over and gets himself a ring.

Lakers have nothing good to offer Wolves that isn't their top 5 or whatever pick and Wolves are in a WAY better spot than Lakers.

Doesn't change the fact that Love will likely leave. Better to get something than have your star player leave for nothing. (Especially in a big draft).

Love has made it clear that he does not want to be part of that Franchise, he was quick to point out that The Wolves are in a better position than LA but that is obvious to anyone and everyone. But the bigger point is that even though The Wolves look good, they will never ever win a ring with that Roster.
So why not pick up a Stud Lottery Player in addition to a Sign and Trade for Pau Gasol.
Rubio, Gasol, Peković + Stud Draft Pick is much much much better than
Rubio + Pekovic
So I think LA has a lot more to offer than just a Lottery Pick :)

Love understands that he has ELITE Skills and will not pull a Garnett and waste his Prime years chasing being a contender for a playoff spot.
The focal point for the Wolves is to help Rubio get better and Gasol can do that, there is championship chemistry there and friendship....Rubio needs to play Euro ball style and Love will not fit that type of scheme. They can keep Rubio, and they should build around him.
Gasol will not be an upgrade over Love....But
Pau Gasol (At a discount)
Lottery Pick Player
Cap Room
is again so much better than almost any team can offer....The Wolves will not get an established Franchise Player for Love from any team. So building around their Talented Point Guard is a pretty safe play.

Love:
For

hahaha....fair enough, your a fan first and I can respect that.
But in all this remember, It was The Wolves that refused to give the Big Man his 5 Year Contract Extension....You add that with the fact the he has never been in the playoffs and you have a quick exit out of Minny.
LeBron James to Miami - Cavs got 2 Very Low 1st Round Draft Picks and 2 2nd Round Draft Picks
Chris Bosh to Miami - Raptors got back their 1st Rounds pick that they had traded and an additional Low First Round pick.
Carmelo Anthony to Knicks - Nuggets got Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Timofy Mozgov, and a 1st Round Draft Pick
Dwight Howard to Lakers - Orlando got Aaron Afflalo, Al Harrington and a hand full of Draft Picks
Deron Williams to Nets - Jazz got Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, and 2 First Round Picks
a Pau Gasol/Lottery Pick Player and some Cash or other Draft Pick will stand up against any of those trades that I posted above....We are talking about The Wolves here....the writing is on the wall my friend, if your team gets the Gasol deal count yourself lucky.
Just hope you dont get what LA gave up for Gasol originally....lol!

I don't get why people are saying Love will be shipped this summer. If he is traded at all it will be at the deadline next year due to use being out of the playoffs. The Wolves front office sees this team as a playoff contender so there is no way they ship him this summer. They are going for a playoff push next year hoping for that to be enough to hold onto Love

I'm not saying he wouldn't leave cause no one knows for sure. But...Kahn is the one that didn't give him the extension and Kahn is gone, Love has a good business relationship with Flip and Flip got us K-Mart and Dieng and Shabazz so he's already doing way better than Kahn's entire tenure which albeit is not that hard to do.

While I agree the Pau deals are a joke. Saying the franchise is run poorly is also a joke. While Kahn was here yes, However Flip has already fixed this team more than the entire time Kahn was here. Only move Kahn made was Love for Mayo which is one of the NBA's biggest laugher trades ever (gladly it was in our favor).

Remember we got Kobe for Vlady and Gasol for Kwame Brown....5 Rings within that time frame, getting Love doesn't seem that hard.
Hey we even got Dwight Howard for a broken down Andrew Bynum
Its nice being a Laker Fan, we might struggle every now and then but we tend to come out ahead!

Marc currently has a pretty talented partner in the paint so unless you think Pau is gonna take a role off the bench to hang out with his brother I am gonna go with playing with his good ole buddy Ricky Rubio, you know the kid that he has been raking up Gold/Silver Medals with on that awesome Spanish Squad.

First of all the former commish was nothing close to an idiot, not the most loved man but definitely not an idiot, remember The Wolves fired Flip once before so I would be careful on how much faith you put in that man that couldnt put together a winning formula when he had Kevin Garnett in his PRIME.

Flip got us to the WCF and if not for some rigging we go to the Finals that year. Flip is a better figure head in the front office than he is coach which actually says something. Get a real commish and no one with a brain let's the Memphis-Lakers trade go through because it was the WORST trade in NBA history.

Yeah the Memphis/LA Trade was pretty one sided but not even close to the WORST trade in NBA History, let alone in Laker History. The Lakers make it a point to get the best of most trades they make...here are some examples of trades better than The Memphis/LA Gasol Trade.
(In no particular order)
Kobe Bryant for Vlade Divac
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for Elmore Smith, Brian Winters and Dave Meyers
Wilt Chamberlain for Jerry Chambers, Archie Clark and Darrall Imhoff
1st Round Pick (James Worthy) for Don Ford
Players + 1st Round Pick (Magic Johnson) for Gail Goodrich, Essie Givens and Jack Givens
Dwight Howard for Andrew Bynum (Multiple Team Trade)
Robert Horry + Player for Cedric Ceballos and Rumeal Robinson
****Rigging....Really?
