I assume he continued to wear that until he did pitch in it. I highly doubt they wear a jersey to sit on the bench in the bullpen and then never wear it again. That was just the game in which MLB authenticated it. Look up the date of his next start and thats when he wore this jersey....probably.

I find that tough to believe. Why would it be authenticated then unless Topps took it right then? On the other hand I don't think it really makes a difference.

Its not authenticated by Topps...its authenticated by MLB.

There's also the chance that he did wear that Jersey in a game he started prior to when it was authenticated. It just so happened that the day it was authenticated he wasn't starting. Regardless it was his jersey!

Session date is just the confusing factor. He pitched April 28, 2012 against the Dodgers. So either it was just not authenticated until May 2 or it was a jersey he wore in BP when they played Arizona, which would not make it game used. I assume Topps won this on the MLB auctions site and the jersey was advertised as game used. I don't think Topps issues jerseys to players to put on just to take right back off like Panini.

Either way hell of a pull and based on other sales should fetch 250-300

Its not authenticated by Topps...its authenticated by MLB.

Session date is when the authenticator gets the jersey. Like I said in the other thread, he may have pitched in it prior to that date.
