View Full Version : Miami Heat + Refs = UNSTOPPABLE!

The Heat always seem to have a few extra players on the court, wearing striped uniforms.
The calls they get, both ways, in close games is just astonishing.
This game vs. the Wolves ... unreal.
The offensive fouls vs. the Heat not called and the flop fouls on Chalmers ... insanity!

I'm not even a Wolves fan, I'm actually a Mavs fan and don't really want the Wolves to win due to current Playoff standings lol.
But the Heat have an incredible amount of bias from the refs, every single game they step on the court.

These commentators are horrible too!
Did you hear them after Lebron hacked Kevin Love on the strip attempt?
Instant slow-mo replay and you can see Love get raked across the forearm and what does the commentator say? "That was all ball!"

Yep, Heat always has the refs in their pockets.
Just check out this play back from late last season. Go to the 2:50 mark to see one of the most obvious fouls ever not get called with the ref standing right there
It's a shame the Heat lost as it makes the title of this thread look fairly silly.

Just because the Heat lost doesn't mean this thread is silly. The Heat got phantom calls consistently on every offensive possession but they can maul any player on defense like a grizzly bear after a piece of meat on a 3 day binge with no salmon on a 60 degree day in Alaska. The Heat had every call go there way and STILL lost. That's what the funny part is. If it was called down the middle the Wolves would've won in regulation by 10 points. The things the Heat (and every top NBA team) get away with is so ridiculous that you cannot help but to laugh

Heres one that wasnt mentioned. (2nd OT final 30 or so seconds?) Lebron fouling Love (no call) as he passes the ball in while still behind the arch, foul doesnt get called till ball is in possession in the paint and the 2 free throws as opposed to 3 free throws by love put the wolves in a 1pt lead and not a 2pt lead (potentially). Atleast the Wolves still showed them.||wheres rasheed wallace to scream "Ball don't Lie!" when we need him.

A facepalm is not enough to properly express my feelings towards this thread.
In the end the Heat lost that game, and BTW.....the game was pretty much decided by the refs....
They called a foul with less then 2 seconds....ON THE HEAT....the Wolves made 1 of 2 free throws and won the game.
Oh b-b-but the refs are on the Heat's side, how dare they call a foul on them with the game on the line?!

Yes, yes it does.
The OP and several members on here make a baseless and ridiculous conspiracy theory claiming the refs and the Heat are in cahoots.
The Heat end up losing the game thanks to a foul the REFS called ON them with less than 2 seconds left.
YES, clearly the Heat and the Refs are working together.

So the refs wanted Miami to win but then called a foul on them with less than two seconds left. Sure.
Like all good conspiracy theories, you need to be able to be completely oblivious to any evidence that clearly invalidates your assertion.
The NBA is rigged for the big market teams! Except they're almost all currently cellar-dwellers or struggling to make the playoffs.

It's a fact they blew MANY calls in that game, or allowed the heat to hack away for much longer than should be allowed. Biggest evidence of this was when they inbounded the ball to Barea. He got hacked 3-4 times (all of which were fouls) before they even decided to blow the whistle.

If you Heat fans are saying that Brewer wasn't fouled late you are blind...or maybe it's because that's the either a) the first foul you've seen called on the Heat or b) the first foul that has been called on the Heat late in a game.
Brewer was pretty much undercut on the play and got the ball up towards the basket. It was an obvious foul and if you don't think so you need to go back to the definition of what a foul is, you know, the stuff they teach you in 2nd grade ball..or quit being blinded by the refs calling everything in favor of you guys. I know, I was shocked too that the Heat were called for a foul.

Stop being a naive homer. It was clear as day. 4 people getting knocked over from drives by heat players and all were no-calls? Only reason Brewer foul was called was because they didn't call the foul behind the arc on love during the pass to Brewer

That's where one goes to see stats. What makes more sense, biased opinions that are trying to pick every play apart to prove a conspiracy, or a basic stat of the game that shows how it was called overall. Wolves shot more freethrows and won the game on a weak foul. To me, the wolves got bailed out by the refs.

Someone that goes out of their way regardless of facts or actual context to put down a player/team?

I do in recent months have a rep of being a Troll, this is mainly due with murrke and I going at it...I started to play his games!
I was just so sick of his BS I just went nuts doing the same things he was, so yes, I understand people looking at me with the rep of being a troll....I deserve it.
My intent in this thread however was only to point out how foolish/trolling it is to defend any action by the ref's and call this entire thread a troll when bingpling23 had not actually seen the game, that to me was so insanely wrong it makes no logical sense....

Just because the Heat shot less FTs doesn't mean anything. They got the phantom calls late, LeBron got away with 3 charges by lowering his shoulder into the guy, Bosh got away with going over the back and lower his shoulder. Not to mention the Wolves got called for a none existent over the back by Mbah a Moute. The refs were trying to hand the Heat the game time and time again. Two rings and counting.:)
No one really actually needs to have watched the game to know that the idea that the refs were rigging it for the Heat is a nonsense. The fact the refs called a foul on the Heat with less than two seconds left is evidence enough that it's untrue.
Some crappy calls doesn't equate to a rigged league (obviously).

God I love the basketball forum.
Yet you constantly read it and feel the need to post your same line in threads? Can you not just think it and hold off posting, all it does is make you look like a troll, which is kinda what you're posting about in the first place...

Why did they have to call it? They didn't call other instances that you and others think were so blatant.

Stop being a naive homer. It was clear as day. 4 people getting knocked over from drives by heat players and all were no-calls? Only reason Brewer foul was called was because they didn't call the foul behind the arc on love during the pass to Brewer
I don't care about that.
I care about the nonsense that people keep perpetuating.
And that is that they actually believe that the NBA is rigged, that the refs are in cahoots with certain teams such as the Heat.
It's beyond ridiculous, and it needs to be pointed out.

You do know the refs have the ability to call a correct foul, right? So don't think calling an actual foul dismisses the multiple charges, phantom fouls, and crazy travels from earlier.

Of course, but then why would they call the foul if they're trying to let Miami win? What's the point of calling all of those other incorrect fouls if you're just going to call a foul on Miami in the last two seconds? What sense does that make?

This is pretty much a given nowadays.
Any call that might go the Heat's way is automatically labeled as the Refs helping the Heat and evidence that the NBA is rigged.
Any call that might go against the Heat (even that which costs them the game) is brushed aside or labeled as legit good officiating.
The utter nonsensical and sheer contradictory nature of conspiracy theorists can't be understated and this thread proves it.

Many people are complaining about refs helping Miami. The truth is that the NBA has gone from supporting great teams to supporting superstars. Teams like Bad boys pistons, bird's celtics and magic's lake show were teams that were well supported. But ever since Jordan came in the league, the NBA saw a new way to promote themselves by not the name on the front of the jerseys but rather on the back. Guys like Jordan, Kobe, Lebron, and Durant get a lot of calls their way because they are the face of the NBA. Last night, parsons got some fouls on Durant that were not even fouls. The NBA has to protect their stars. I am a heart broken Kings fan that was disappointed at the kings lakers series because Kobe got whatever he wanted. It's tough and frustrating to be a fan, and refs have so much power in the game of basketball so we just have to live with it. It's just not Miami getting calls but other teams in the past as well.

Everyone knows stars get the calls especially at the end of games. This isn't something new. If you're a team with a superstar like the Heat and have probably the biggest superstar in the league it's not out of the ordinary to think that guy will get away with some things at the end of the game. Same thing goes for other stars like Durant and Kobe. It's not that the refs favor one team just that superstars get calls.

Do I need to dig up New England Patriots threads where...YOU DO THE EXACT SAME THING you are having a temper tantrum about?!?
I love the hypocrisy with some people...it makes my day. :)!
