64 of them counting Bob Griese. The ones from the more popular products (contenders, NT) you can wait as most of it gets opened. The other products (playbook, spectra) you might not want to wait to long as less are going to hit the open market, then your going to be waiting along time for them to pop up.

Also some of them where redemptions (which I believe are now expired), only one I can remember right now is Bill Parcells. Good luck, this set will run you, if you average $50-$75 a card, about =$7500 - $11,250 to complete it.

Also when panini started this set they stated these would be in 2013 &2014 products, who know how long there going to stretch this out with not even half of them released.

Nice start, not really worried but I fear some of the older HOfers might pass away before they sign the cards making the set incomplete.

My two cents, i would scoop up the Terry Bradshaw, Jim Kelly and Deion Sanders listed on ebay.

Good luck to you on finding your last four, some of those earlier ones are getting harder and harder to find, as many of them are locked up in others trying to complete the set or peoples player PCs. I search mostly eBay or myslabs, with 5-6 different words combos because people don't know how to list these.

They list it as a 174 set but it only 173, I am not sure it will reach 20k, but 15K-17K I could see. Some of those earlier big names like Jerry Rice/SF goes for $700+ now, which is crazy! IMO, this is one of the nicest/greatest football auto sets. Big checklist, all HOFers, great design, great photos', all on-card autos, all #/50, all shinny(prizm), and all case hits over multiple products and years.

There were two Lance Alworth cards - one pack issued and one that Lance kept and signed differently (numbered by hand to 14 and signed with Bambi on the front, I have one like that as well).

It did have the Mike Ditka as a Cowboy, which I think needs to be added to this list. I've got a near complete set missing only the Griese, Ditka as a Cowboy and the Mike Haynes that was released 5-6 weeks ago.

I agree this list has been invaluable for people collecting this set. Would love to see a Griese if anyone has one.

They have the Warren Sapp listed (5th line from bottom, next to Deion Sanders).
No never seen Griese, 99.9% sure it doesn't exist.
I know about the Lance with Bambi (but not packed pulled), I have also seen others that added different inscriptions, seen it on a few of the #01/50.
Also, players like Bradshaw did not sign all of his with his #12, it was also stated that the Marshall Faulk *Colts (19 Spectra) has only /46 but its numbered to /50 on the back, not sure if they lost 4 or he kept them.

Mike Ditka I have only seen the Chicago Bears one, do you have a picture of his in the Cowboys and do you know which set it came out of?

Whoops! My bad, I missed the Warren Sapp in the listing, thanks for catching that. The Heritage auction listed the Mike Ditka as a Bear and as a Cowboy as included in the set. I was the underbidder twice on eBay last year for it. I didn't keep an image, nor did I find the set checklist that contained it. The card looks like it uses the same image as on this Prizm card (https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/13gAAOSwk91jJzbO/s-l1600.jpg) but with the style of the 50th anniversary set and an on-card auto.

I believe between sold and auctions, I've seen this come up 3 times or so. It sold for around $300, which was a strong price IMHO.

This is a great thread and I really appreciate @jrnelson putting together this checklist.

I have compared it to the checklists posted on Panini's website and confirmed most of the cards/sets align. There are 24 I cannot find on Panini's website at all.

I've messaged Panini to ask if they can publish them or share which sets the others were distributed but they have not responded.

Separately, I am working on getting mine graded by Beckett and I want to make sure the labels on the slabs are correct. I have found 136 of them on Beckett's site. In addition to the missing cards, a few of the ones they do have are labeled incorrectly (per the checklists on this forum and on Panini's checklists).

If I can get a hold of either Beckett or Panini, I am going to suggest they publish a separate master list with all cards from this set and indicate which year and card set they were released (a boy can dream, right?).

I'm curious if 1) has anyone experienced the same issues 2) has anyone talked with either Beckett or Panini for clarification, or 3) if I have missed them on either site--I'd love to be pointed to the correct place.

We have tracked this set since the beginning and the Mike Ditka Cowboys is the only one we are not sure what set its out of, if any. The only info I have gathered is that someone said they got there's at the 2022 Nationals.

The rest of those that you can't find on Panini's checklist have been tracked and correctly labeled on the master list on page one.

Kevin Mawae did come out of the 2021 NFL Panini One. (He might have signed them at the National, but his card is pulled from 2021 NFL Panini One)

Beckett isn't going to be much help as they get there data from Panini's checklists, and those are not always complete. Good luck finding someone at Panini to respond and even if they do someone who knows this information.

IMO, This is the most accurate and complete checklist for this set. (if you find one better please post)

I am going to bring in this list, show them what is in the Beckett database, the checklists from Panini's website (with corresponding URLs), and the information from the checklist here. The goal is to see if they will update their database.

As examples, I am bringing cards from several years to show they are obviously the same set.

I am also bringing a 2019 Panini One Randy Moss (still sealed), images from 2 Ebay sales showing the Randy Moss in a BGS holder, and point out that neither label matches, and neither shows up on a Beckett pop report. Here are the images:

Nice, let us know how it turns out.

I have now met with Beckett 4 times to show them cards spanning from 2013 through the Kevin Mawae card in a sealed Panini One case.

As we all know, it is still a long-shot that they make any changes, but I have given them ample evidence, including submitting 39 of these cards for grading that they can physically see.

At a minimum, they have a body of evidence to make the case. Here is a summary of what I shared:

1) A spreadsheet showing what they have in their database compared to two things: a) What Panini shows in their checklists and b) all of the other known cards (e.g. Kurt Warner, Deion as a Falcon, etc.) that are in neither Beckett's nor Panini's database but that are obviously part of the set (it helped that I submitted several of these undocumented cards for them to see).

2) Enlarged photos of 2 Randy Moss BGS graded cards that do not show up in any of Beckett's population reports, but they obviously graded.

3) Yesterday, I submitted 7 cards that are in Panini's checklist but Beckett does not have in their database. For these, I put labels on top loaders of each card I submitted for grading, showing them how Panini has it on their checklist and the URL where they can find it (see image):

I was told that all of the information I have shared has been given to the person over their registry and that he is reviewing it.

Once I get all of the cards back from grading, I'm going to request one more meeting where I will present the graded cards and ask that they make this a true living set and let users help keep the list accurate with images and submissions.

I'll say again, I give this low probability, but I'm hoping the evidence (and the repeated push) will give them confidence that the information is correct and worth updating to help their customers.

If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions, please let me know. I'm 10 minutes from Beckett's HQ and happy to keep trying. :)

3) Next to the Copyright on the bottom, there are some characters that appear to be from a Southeastern Asian language (I am not familiar with such languages but wonder if it is Chinese...and why it's there).

No one I know who collects this set is certain. Two different people I have spoken to think it was handed out at the Panini booth at 2022 Nationals in special packs for the Nationals. Neither witnessed this though so at best a rumor.

The timing of when the Ditka as a Cowboys player card showing up on Ebay aligns to a 2022 Nationals release. That is suggestive, but not confirmation.

Looks like 2023 is going to be a good year for this set. In addition to the Joe Thomas, Panini just released 9 more cards in the Panini Absolute HOF Signatures Pirzm (<--their typo, not mine) set:
1 - Mike Haynes (I assume as a Patriot, though the checklist says as a Raider)
2 - Champ Bailey (I assume as a Redskin, though the checklist says as a Bronco)
3 - Darrelle Revis
4 - Drew Pearson
5 - Eric Dickerson (It's him as a LA Raider though the checklist says Rams)
6 - Isaac Bruce
7 - Jason Taylor (as a NY Jet, though the checklist says as a Dolphin)
8 - Tony Dorsett (I assume as a Bronco, though the checklist says as a Cowboy)
9 - Warren Moon (Either a Seahawk or a Chief though the checklist says as an Oiler)

Moon and Dickerson now have 3 cards in the set. Interesting.

I'm hoping we may see more. With the Absolute product out, they now have HOF cards for 2023 inductees Revis and Joe Thomas. Others in this class include DeMarcus Ware, Zach Thomas, Ken Riley, Chuck Howley and Joe Klecko (also incudes Don Coryell but he is no longer with us so no chance on that one).

If they got all of these players and they keep mixing in 2nds or 3rds of existing, this could be a big year for this set.

Thanks, the Ditka is not a 1/1, numbered to /50 like all the rest, (0/1, 1/1) just means there is one from that set and I have it. We still don't have which product Ditka (Cowboys) came out of just speculation that is was in the nationals packs.

I do not have extra of either those two. Good luck on finding them.

Are you collecting the entire set or just the Cowboys? Always thought about adding to the master list who is collecting the set and there current progress.

When I go to Nationals, I will ask the Panini folks about this. I have 215/216 (obviously no Griese) myself!

There is, supposedly, HOF signatures prizm in the 2024 select checklist on the panini website. Haven't seen any in the wild yet, though.
