View Full Version : 2010 Bowman Jumbo Case- THE BEST CASE EVER!!!

This is an amazing story with an unbelievable end so bear with me as I will keep it short! I pre-ordered two JUMBO cases that were due to arrive on Friday May 14th. I also had boxes set aside for me to pickup at two local LCS on Friday as well. Well, UPS did not show up until 8:30PM Friday so I could not get the other boxes. I opened the large box that revealed the two seperate cases and leaned to pick the one on the left. My first box was very forgettable but the first pack of the second box was a ORANGE REFRACTOR DUSTIN ACKLEY #/25, and this is where things get crazy. I will post the scans of my incredible luck and choice of cases! THANKS BLOWOUT!

The pack with the Strasburg Blue Auto also contained the Starlin Castro Blue Refarctor Auto in my sixth box. Box eight LAST PACK had the Donovan Tate Gold Refractor auto. I would not have believed anyone had they told me this story but i had Lee Ballard- leebal24 - on the phone with me while I broke this and he was in utter disbelief. I still am. Thanks for looking and sharing in my excitement of the best case I ever broke. Mike

He was right i was on the phone when he poped the last few boxes and after a few SCREAMS of OMG i knew he hit a few big guys and yes kyle he did get all the right names and a few others came out not on cards-lol!!!!!!!!! great case dude....

Man, my jaw is on the floor. I hate being the guy that is like "my case was so bad and yours was so good etc etc", but wow-I busted 7 cases(2 jumbo, 5 hobby)-and my cases were just blah.

This break is I-N-S-A-N-E. Show me a better all around case, I don't think it's possible. Yeah, there are other HUGE hits that could make it a better case, but show me more big hits out of 1 case-I don't think it's possible.

I sold 3 jumbo cases, made about $830 profit(bought in at good price)-my fear is seeing something like this from the people I sold them to, lol.

Thank you for the kind words! I have not seen a better break yet! I thought after the second box with the Orange Ackley Refractor Auto, that the case was done and thought for a second, maybe I should stop... yeah..right! The store that was holding jumbo boxes for me had a Strasburg Blue Auto come out and I am thinking, that was my shot. I get this case and not only pull the Strasburg Blue Auto, but also the Orange Refractor Strasburg, Orange Ackley Auto, Tate Gold Auto, and Castro Blue Auto etc!!!

it seems like all the Strasberg autos are in the auto packs with the chrome autos...thats something to look for...

Also i hate that I have case of Both Jumbo and Hobby chiilin at my parents house since I knew I was redeploying around the same time it was released..more fun when i come home :)...or i could even flip the cases and make a little bit of change but what fun would that be lol

Hi Army, How are things going? At least you have them waiting for you. Prices are rising quickly but it is a FUN break and can be a profitable break too if you are into that. I sell alot of items but keep most Chrome I get. Stay safe! Mike

You did very well with your break as well! Congratulations! I bought a couple more jumbo boxes and hit a J.R.Murphy Orange Refractor Auto #/25 as well as a Wil Myers RC Printing Plate Auto 1/1. I love this stuff!
I cannot believe that I saw the Strasburg Orange Refractors going for $1000!
I still have mine tucked away!
