I bought a card from a seller and am starting to think it might be a scam. The seller lists the cards for one day auctions, but not mailing until the 20th (says on a business trip, some cards ended weeks ago) The photos all look different from the style from their previous sales which are all lower value cards. Some of them even look like they are stock photos. They say they are getting out of the hobby but at the same time they continue to purchase cards. Not a single serial # is show or mentioned, and when I asked what a card was #ed to they didn't even know. I'm just wondering if I have legitimate concerns or am I just being paranoid?

And you are right, it is definitely a scam. He is stealing photos from other auctions and stock photos from product sell sheets. Either this guy is looking for a short term interest free loan or more likely, given the number of auctions, he is going to withdraw all the money into his bank account and try to disappear. File a claim immediately and even consider calling ebay or paypal about this guy.

Thanks for the links. As I feared, my suspicions seem to be valid. I was suspicious when I was bidding, but the seller has good feedback and I really wanted the card he had listed.

File a claim ASAP!

He is on a spending spree and has purchased over 500 items in the past 30 days. As soon as the money comes in from his "sales" he is buying items up to keep his Paypal account near zero.

Paypal needs to put his account on hold until people get their purchases.

I got my money back, but I would have preferred the card. Whatever.

Wow that is unreal. So many of those are photos from sell sheets. What will eBay actually do to this guy? Just delete his account?

He has only won 600 items in the last few weeks, that's normal... :-)

One of the cards sold was a Tom Brady sweet spot helmet auto. I don't think, one of those exists...
