.....as the price keeps climbing another $100+ more today. You will get like 5 autos a box so it won't be that bad. This checklist in topps chrome at 1 hit per box, would be brutal.

We were VERY spoiled last year pulling 13-14 colored autos per case. It was absolutely insane how much value last year's product has, and why it doubled in price despite a terrible rookie class.
This year we have an outstanding rookie class and will still get 7-8 colored autos. Player lots will be big sellers on the base end too. I am locked in around $800 so I have no worries, but definitely wouldn't pay more than $100 per box.

So this is shady. Why do all of their sell sheets say UP TO 80 rookie autograph subjects and then they add 105. Isn't that false advertising?

I don't think a huge checklist is necessarily bad. You have guys that won't have many autos over the course of the year that are still kind of fresh in CFB fans' minds. It makes it easy to hit color, and it doesn't water down the value of the top-tier guys.
There's roughly 10,000 color autos that are orange /50 or better (CC says orange or better is hobby exclusive, so I'm not counting blue /99 or gold /75 even though there will be a lot of those in hobby). Allegedly, there are about 2700 cases out there. So you should be getting 3-4 autos /50 or lower per case plus whatever in terms of blues and golds. With 18,000 blues and golds out there, say half go to retail. That's another 3-4 blues or golds per case. Probably an average of 7-8 colors per case, not bad.

Way more. I pulled one of the best E.J. Autos in the product last year and if I remember correctly it only sold in the $200's. I think Manziel base autos alone will bring $200+.

I think the checklist is very loaded. Despite 105 names, I recognize over 90% of them. Lots of big name offensive talent. This year's draft was DEEP. So deep that a few stars weren't even drafted. There are very few no-namers. Watch and be shocked on Wednesday when the first sales start rolling in.

There are tons of no-namers, a quarter of the checklist went undrafted, plus a bunch of random defensive players that no one but fans of the particular team will recognize. It is a much better draft class, and I'll try a couple boxes, but 105 names is ridiculous.

Most of the undrafted players with autos in 2014 Bowman had autos in 2014 Upper Deck and I don't remember a ton of whining about that product.
The price definitely makes me re-think it though. I loved Upper Deck at about $90/box, but with this one at $130+ plus a bunch of airbrushed photography...pretty sure I'll go SPx if I get any of the new stuff this week.

Typical hate everything negativity.
I like the college unis in the early products. Bowman is essentially a minor league draft set in baseball so I like having the earliest football product in their college unis.
It's a long collecting season and it's nice to mix it up so every product isn't a cookie cutter version of the next.
I'm looking forward to the annual "inception chips" hate fest in a couple of months too.

I was looking at the checklist from last year, and they only had the 80 subjects that they advertised. I'm sure they had undrafted players that signed last year as well, and they choose not to include them. Do you think Topps will include these undrafted players as extra hits? Or are they once again showing us that they believe they could put used bandaids in products, we`ll complain about it, but then come back next year and pre-order hoping they'll include used bandaids with Chrome technology.
