Hey guys! Just recently, I found out that I got a 32 on my ACT which was a massive accomplishment for me, so let's do a giveaway thread to celebrate your accomplishments!

I will be giving away the following card to one lucky individual who posts in this thread:

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o563/lagalaxyfan2323/115_zps1e764d30.jpeg (http://s1148.photobucket.com/user/lagalaxyfan2323/media/115_zps1e764d30.jpeg.html)

I think he has potential or something. Anyways, here are the rules of the free giveaway:

1. Post an accomplishment that you've achieved recently
2. Compliment the person above you about their accomplishment!

That's all! Don't know when the winner will be announced, but at some point within the next few days it will! Good luck!

First of congrats on The ACT man great job! I never got the option to take it because in high school i really screwed up so props for that! My story is about my brother and I. He was always the smart one he went straight to college and graduated and now has a great job. I dropped out of high school, eventually got back in but graduated a year late. I went the other route and joined the military. My family was not supportive of my decision at all. They hardly talk to me now so that sucks. Fast forward 4 years. I actually just finished my bachelors degree in business management up about 3 months ago. And now I will be attending school again for my masters. Im very excited about it and it is a huge accomplishment for me right now. I myself am not a dolphins fan but I am good friends with a guy on youtube that would love this card. So if I won, I would send the card to him to help his pc out. Great contest man and again congrats on your huge accomplishment!

Congrats on the GPA, BrewCrew. That is awesome!

I finally became a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin last week.

For some background, you need to pass two tests. One is called a Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) which can be taken right out of school (or anytime after graduating). It tests you on everything from math to physics to Engineering.

Second test is the Professional Engineering Exam (PE) which is something you take after 4 years of work which tests you on specific Engineering (for me, Electrical).

Both exams are 8 hours long, taken 1 day each, and are mentally exhausting. I have heard of people taking it back to back (Friday and Saturday)... I didn't do that :). It isn't a requirement to have, but it opens doors where I work into management positions and such. It was a relief to finally get it completed.

Also, I don't want to win the card so please don't pick me. I just like this thread with the ability to share accomplishments. Nice work to everyone in this thread.

Good luck, Chase! Fingers crossed for you! :D

I've been looking mainly into UW, USC, UCLA, Boston College, and UPenn and Stanford as more of my reach schools haha :)! You?

Congrats! I didn't think there were too many engineers on these boards. I also pass my PE exam this past April in Electrical. Like you said, its not a requirement and I have no interest in management but just did it to prove it to myself that I could. I also do not want to win the card.

Thanks man! I had to take it in June because of tennis taking up every day in spring. I had no time to prepare for it because of tennis, but I can hope for the best and retake it in the fall haha. I'm thinking about UW, Marquette, Michigan state, kentucky and Illinois. The sad part is that I may have a tough time getting in with a 3.2 gpa. I go to a private school that gives 3 hours of homework a night for the non-AP classes. It's a tough school and my gpa gets killed because of it :( A kid in my grade flunked out with a .7 gpa last year, went to a public school, and got a 3.8 gpa. It's really depressing :o

Don't worry about it. What matters is that you're getting a more rigorous education that should improve you in several facets of life. A good college can make things easier, but A) there are many good colleges, depends on what you make of them B) College may open doors and make things easier, but it is nowhere near the end all be all for success.

I like how complimentary LaGalaxyFan is!

Edit: Crap that's you lol. I will say I think it's awesome that Diesel is considering becoming a professional umpire! I hope you call a perfect game someday!

I actually got a 32 on my ACT too! my wife got a 33...she rubs it in my face a lot hahaha. I got a 1420 on my SAT though (back when it was 1600 based) and she was like 1310 so I have that on her).

Recently, I got a new job! Was teaching at a crazy school for bad pay and now I'm getting a nice little raise and working somewhere where I'll be supported a lot more. So excited!

Hahaha my mom's a teacher... good profession choice... While I'm not knocking your profession you choose because personally I think it's AWESOME. You will never be appreciated enough, everyone will continue to think they can do your job, it will never be the kids/parents fault always yours even if little Johnny didn't do his homework it will turn into you gave too much. I hope you really love it cause you almost have too now a days which is sad! But any ways I thank you for being a teacher and know your job is VERY hard! :)

Happy to see you being supported more too!

Edit: I have to tell this story. I love to play baseball and I love to ump baseball two of my favorite things ever! I honestly can't stand to watch baseball though it is so weird

Haha thanks man! I definitely agree it's hard to get parent support at times, but at my last school I couldn't even always get school support because it was so disorganized and crazy. Now I'm in a school where there's a much better structure in place so hopefully things will flow a lot smoother!

And as for the watching baseball thing, lol that's hilarious! I guess you can't do baseball unless you're actually part of the action!

Awesome man! I love hiking, probably my favorite outdoor activity. And NH is so beautiful, but never been in the White Mts., only hiked in the foothills of New England. That's cool that you have a hiking buddy too!

My accomplishment, I can't really think of anything too impressive. I guess All-A honor roll is all I can think of. :o

EDIT: forget Honor Roll! I recently won the NBA Finals 9 times in a row with the Atlanta Hawks in 2K12's Association Mode.

Thanks for the contest, OP! Fun & Positive giveaway for sure. :)
