Never buy cards stored in those holders.

I went to the LCS and they had a few MJ inserts in those screw down holders. The cards were even in penny sleeves. I asked the guy to remove them so I could see the condition and if they had gotten stuck to the plastic and sure nuff. Almost wasted 80 bucks on 2 inserts ruined by stupidity! Cards took some effort to be removed from the penny sleeves and damaged small portions of the cards.

Kinda looks like that's what happened here.
Also, not sure if the decimal in "27.2" is visible on the back. That's usually another indicator it's fake...

I'm not sure if it's real but someone who has it up with just one almost-decent picture is not worth the risk.

+1 I am avoiding screw down holder. Got a bad experience with a high dollar card once.

At your first glance it actually looks authentic. They say it has no scratches, but it looks to me like the bottom right, bottom left and top left has some serious surface issues going on. So even if it was real, that would bring the grade down significantly. With that being said its not worth taking the risk on.

It does look real...But I'm not expert....with the surface, maybe get a 5??? maybe even higher??

looks fake. there are some key signs to look for but the pic is so bad its hard to tell. doesn't look like there is a decimal point in his career scoring avg on the back which is top 3 sign its not real... again so hard to tell if im seeing this correctly bc of the pic.

Why the HELL do people keep buying these ungraded pieces of crap?

Honestly? What are the odds it's real? Probably not good these days with the millions upon millions of fakes! And to spend so much for it!

Geez, it's no wonder there's so many criminals in the world these days, there's SO MANY MORONS to take advantage of!

well good news, on ebay they protect the seller so much that anyone can buy it see it or send it for immediately grading and if its a fake return it to the seller.

right, but most of the idiots winning these end up paying then keeping them, trading, etc.

just continuing to spread the fakes as real.

I would imagine only a tiny fraction of the "raw" jordan rookies on ebay end up going to grading, getting rejected, then returned to the seller for a refund.

I'd tend to believe most of the buyers aren't hobby-saavy and simply just want a "Jordan Rookie Card"
