Who do you think will breakout this upcoming season??

Read the title wrong.
Alec Ogletree will break out. He had over 100 tackles and 6 FF as a rookie. I think he'll be even better under Greg Williams.

I think Bjoern Werner is set to have a good season.
He played better at the end of last season and really showed some flashes of what the team expects from him.

I don't think i'd call him a defensive stud just yet but I do believe that Ryan Carrethers will completely surprise you Charger fans. He has been a joy to watch here in college and is as strong as a freaking house and should do alright from the beginning when he gets on the field

Tank Carradine! (injury 'redshirt' last year with 9ers, so maybe not a 'breakout' but a 2nd year player)

Harrison Smith - if he plays 16 games he has to be a pro bowler, right?

Jamie Collins for sure. Spikes is gone and he should be all over the field.

Jabaal Sheard is going to be a monster this year. Agree with above.
I'm also biased but I think Mingo plays much better with this scheme then he did with Horton's last season.

Agreed, he should have a good season. I hope kneasley(tehe) can do well too.

$heldon Richardson will continue to dominate. I think Clowney will be impressive this year. I also think Kony Ealy is a nice sleeper in Carolina, In other words nobody from the Lions.

I wonder where I've seen this thread before? Haha do you belong to FF?
Anyway I pick AJ Klein or Short for the Panthers and Darius Slay for the Lions.

Datone Jones & Jamie Collins!

I'll admit to being biased but I'm hoping Jon Bostic starts putting it together! He's a great athlete and can really run and hit hard but needs to learn to adjust to the big leagues better and get better in coverage.
Calvin freaking Pryor. He is a front runner for DROY imo.

Datone Jones will have a breakout year, has the tools just need the consistency. I also think Janoris Jenkins will have a breakout year too, with all the pass rush in front of him I can see him getting 6-8 ints next year.

I too Think datone Jones Will Break out. I also think Casey Hayward will. He has the potential of a 6 or 7 interception year.

I second this notion. When he ran down Spiller last year, it was definitely one of the few bright spots from our abysmal season.

Here are mine:
Jamie Collins (probably already a Top 5 LB just nobody knows about him for whatever reason)
Ryan Shazier
LaMarcus Joyner
Aaron Donald
Mychal Kendricks
Fletcher Cox

Jamie Collins is talented but he's not a top 5 LB after one good playoff game. He might have a nice breakout year this year though.

Kawann Short for the Panthers.
I think both Short and Lotulelei are going to make major strides this year, and that's saying a lot considering how well they played as rookies.
I think Lotulelei will start to be talked about as one of the top 5 DT's in the league, he had some jaw dropping plays last year of just manhandling blockers and swallowing up RB's and Short will pick up 5-7 sacks in a breakout season and solidify the fourth starting spot on that line by the end of the season.

Ansah for the Lions, It's crazy how little football experience but still had a solid rookie campaign.
I'm hoping Derek Wolfe can stay healthy, with Ware and Miller coming on the edge and Pot Roast causing a ruckus up the middle, he should have plenty of opportunity.

I'll go with Robert Alford of the Falcons, he's my PC guy so I'm biased a little. Through 10 games last season he had 31 tackles, 3 picks, & 11 break-ups, and then he had an injury that held him out the rest of the year. Here's hopes that a new head coach with a great defensive mind can help him along.
Also another homer pick is Kemal Ishmael, the guy packs a punch from the safety position and is a ball hawk.

If Haloti Ngata gets cut by the Ravens due to his huge cap number, I think Brandon Williams will be a beast!
