Welcome to the boards. Since the 90's it has switched from Rookie cards being the thing to collect to now where it is about the Rookie Autographs.

and from 90's until now ,you have missed a ton , things have change a lot int hat time , from base rcs and rare inserts , to base rcs , rare inserts , numbered , game used and event used , autographs both veteran and rookie , 1/'s and more ,oh yeah the cost is much more now also lol , boxes can range from $20 per box to $500 and more per box
