View Full Version : Should I take this offer???
I am on the fence guys and I need some advice! In a group break for 2013/14 Select, I had the Cavs and got a redemption for a Top Selections Green Prizm Auto Patch, which will be #'d to 5.
I checked the pics and the set looks beautiful. It looks to be sticker autos, but I saw that Kyrie's 2013/14 Prizm autos are on card, so my guess is that his Selct autos will be on card as well. I'm not a huge Kyrie collector, but it looks like a sick card. Some of his "patches" suck though and just turn out to be jersey trim.
Anyways... I threw it up on Ebay with a high BIN/BO in case I got any crazy offers and I just got one for $346 which is really tempting. The card looks beautiful but that's a lot of money. What would you guys do??? I'm like 50/50 right now.

I would have sold it as soon as I saw the offer to be honest, but the spectra patch auto /10 sold for $450.00 so it could be a buyer out there that would pay more than the $346, i'd say select carries a higher premium than spectra and then prizm is overtop of those based on rarity etc. it's not a rookie so sometimes those can be difficult to sell. the card is going to retain value either way, it's just a question of how much value, you could be losing $100 instead of gaining $100 extra if you wait it out, it's just if your willing to take the gamble and see which one, lol

If you're not going to grade it 9.5 and hold it until the Playoffs in May/June, you should probably sell it now.

JA. This is probably the dumb post of the day. Your clueless of how the card industry works. All his cards pre 2013-14 are rookies. I guess we can assume your a Kansas fan which makes sense.

Let's not forget that his RC auto was live in the public while his XRC auto was not live.

Sell it.... and if you still want to speculate on Kyrie, buy one of his lower end auto RCs. Graded if it's cheap enough. Pocket the rest.
So I sold it guys! I actually ended up getting $370, which was great.
The collector in me REALLY wanted to redeem it, since it should be a beauty. But at that price, I could add a lot of beautiful cards in my collection.
Thanks for all of the advice everyone, I appreciate it! :)
