There are just too many outfielders in Myrtle and I dont think they want to send Williams up.

That's crazy....I know he's improved but I do not see this AA experience going well for Mazara.

That is my guess although I could have seen them promoting Bolinger if they chose not to promote Williams.
I am pretty happy with this promotion for Mazara. It is something you don't see happen very much with hitters, but some sort of promotion was long overdue and he has the makeup to not get overwhelmed. The sky is the limit for him.

Since the start of June he has hit .302 14HR and 51 RBI while cutting down on his K's and walking more. I think its an aggressive move but he was due for a promotion.

No promotion for him after the trade for Moran. The organization was very high on Moran so I'd expect Ruiz to be moved at some point or change positions.
They nearly drafted him (Moran) #1 overall.

Oh I know, I just firmly believe Ruiz is the better of the two right now and just not b/c I collect him. If you watch their swings and approach at the plate, you can tell Ruiz is going to be more successful at the higher levels. However, seeing that Moran is older I completely understand their decision to put Moran ahead of him.

Not a highly rated prospect, but Eric Jokisch just went 8 innings and only gave up 5 hits, no walks, no runs, and struck out 7 for the I-Cubs. He could be the next guy to get a start for the Cubs if someone gets injured or traded.

It is pretty weird, but the Rangers are known for being very aggressive with their prospects. They know their players best and they must believe they he can handle it. Statistics do not mean everything, especially at the lower levels.
