WFNY is a legit blog - they aren't someone that just popped up during the LeBron chase - they've been at it forever and are very connected to Cleveland sports.
Could just be a rumor - but Dan Gilbert has always had a connection with him through Detroit - and the article implies this could eventually lead to some FO opportunites for Billups
Not that it really matters. Billups is a "name" but is hardly anything more than depth (I'd rather play Delly over Billups backing up Kyrie anyway). Marion would be a better "get". Billups would be just a "prescence" more than a player I'd think.
Still interesting.

If those guys will sign for veterans minimum? Bring them all back.
Cleveland has little to no cap space left. Fact.
Cleveland needs to fill a roster. Fact.
Bring them on.
At this point (if we assume Love) they've got some sort of rotation consisting of
Kyrie + Delly
Waiters + Miller
LeBron + Jones
Love + Thompson
Varejao + Haywood
If guys like Billups, Marion, Allen, McGrady, Iverson, and Bob Cousy want to fill out those final few spots? That's fine with me.

did u know he's like the man in china? too bad he's a pscyho bc he can still play. i never forgave that moron d'antoni when marbury came into camp in 08-09 as trim as he had been, very focused, notable hard working offseason and dantoni benched him just as an ego move. he coulda helped us a lot that season.

They really are just trying to make this team like the Heat. I don't like it one bit.

He'll be the 11th man (maybe 12th) on the roster.
He's more coach than player if he does sign.

Not just him, with everyone they are going after. I'd rather the young guys play and grow then trading them all away and getting the old vets.

What young guys exactly? Joe Harris?
Unless you are talking Wiggins/Bennett (which is a whole other discussion) then there aren't any young guys to play.
Miller will back up Waiters
Marion would (if signed) back up LeBron
Billups would back up both Kyrie and Delly
James Jones is a non-factor
I guess I'm not following your logic unless you're saying don't acquire Kevin Love - which again is a different thread.

Yes, Kevin Love. I also figure if they don't and keep signing these "LeBron" guys they will start taking minutes away from Bennett/Waiters/Wiggins that they need to grow.

It is kinda the same thing. I'm pretty sure everyone knew he wouldn't be leaving Miami unless he could find a situation with a better future.

Well that's an entirely different discussion - my posts are based on the assumption that Love is coming aboard.
