According to Bleacher report the NBA can veto the deal.
I'm still pissed off cp3 to lakers got vetoed.
I'm not a laker fan but it sucked to see the NBA over rule and get involved.
That's too much power.

lol. If they veto this trade I'm gonna lmao.
That CP3 veto was absurd. The only explanation they gave was "basketball reasons". Yeah, that's a little to much power and a not enough (or any) accountability on the part of the NBA.

I hope David Stern has or gets urinary incontinence and wets his pants all day and wears a diaper because of the Chris Paul trade veto.

Did they give a reason or is it just one of Bleacher Reports 150,000 "writers" throwing stuff out there, because they couldn't think of a new list.

The main reason the CP3 trade got vetoed is because I thin Stern wanted to do one last "big" thing before while he was on his way to retirement to get people talking and piss some people off.
They claim this might get vetoed because the Cavs and Love might have "agreed" to a contract before the trade has went through. Kind of a tough thing to prove if there is nothing on paper on both sides.

That would be karma for Dan Gilbert after reading his supposed letter to the nba about the cp3 trade

If cp3 trade never got vetoed, dwight never would of left, and kobe may of had his 6th ring, we will never know. Dan Gilberts letter did have something to do with cp3 veto no doubt, guess its just wait and see, its true, you can't believe everything in Bleacher Report, but what media can you actually trust, none.

The CP3 trade got vetoed because the NBA was running the NO Hornets and several owners didn't like the trade. The NBA has no interest in this trade, it won't be vetoed.

this is silly, the only reason the NBA got involved bf is bc they owned the hornets. they shouldnt veto this.

this isnt gonna be veto'd, theres no way to prove love/cavs had discussions, this is just people being bored waiting for the trade to be official on aug 23 or 24.

I heard Jordan was really pissed and he was the key figure in getting it overruled.
Hornets had no owner back then , so the NBA controlled the team in some way . Moving Chris Paul for some aging vets wouldnt make the team attractive for buyers , but the NBA rigged the draft and gave the Hornets the First Overall pick that year .

The NBA will not do anything to piss off lebron james. It is in their best interest the sooner he wins one with the cavs.

Not exactly. The NBA vetoed a trade last summer that would have sent Garnett and Pierce to the Clippers because it was considered a side deal to Doc Rivers getting released from his Celtics contract to go to the Clippers.

There is zero chance this gets vetoed unless Glen Taylor is the dumbest man on the planet (which he just might be after the whole Joe Smith fiasco).
The Cavs haven't said a word publically - only Taylor is talking - I still can't believe he basically said "Love will be traded - probably around the 23rd" as if everyone didn't know what that date was.
The NBA will only be able to "prove" anything if Minnesota puts something on paper that they shouldn't
As stated above it's apples to oranges if you are comparing it to Chris Paul

Good point, but to me this trade is actually somewhat fake and shouldn't be vetoed unless Love broke some rule by saying he would sign an extension with Cleveland.

only thing NBA will veto is Don Vito taking off his shirt in public
