I'm planning to grade this sucker, but I don't want to send it if it's a fake.
Thx
Jim

So whats your opinion based off this...

Heck, that's the best way to find out if it's good, send it in to be graded. That's the same with autographs I collect, I buy them then send them to PSA or JSA and find out the good/bad news.

I probably will just send it in, I can't tell whether it is or not based on the guide.

Having it graded will set you off $20 + shipping...too small a price to pay to validate it's authenticity, don't you think so?
If that's real, I think you'll be extremely happy with the high grade.

Scans are too grainy to tell, but if you're missing the decimal the 27.2 in the last stat it's a definite fake. Color and lines look ok, but I typically get a magnification loop to inspect the ink and such.

Scan is hard to tell but one particular piece of this card makes me think its fake.
Bottom right of the back, the NBA basketball, looks solid, I dont see the lines in the basketball.
There are a few graded jordan's on ebay that show the back and you can really see the difference between those and the card in this posting

I think you're correct, the ball looks "line- less" to my naked eye

If the ball is line-less then its fake. I don't like the color of the arrow in the front as well, might be just grainy picture.

There are decimal points, the first one is bold, the other 2 are more faint.
Sorry for the poor pic quality, my scanner isn't compatible w my iPad.

Where did you find such a nice looking ungraded '86 Fleer Jordan RC? That could tell you something as well!

Here is a recent raw one I got which I compared with my graded to be real. You can compare the back. Hope this helps you out a bit more. If you need the front scan let me know.

I'm going through cards for a friend who used to own a card shop in the days before grading was en vogue. I know that this card is highly counterfeited and I don't want to rip someone off.

Hmmm, old inventory from a shop, that's a good source for the Jordan(not from ebay or craigslist, or a flea market), you could have a winner!

This is an easy fake. Look at the Bulls logo how the lines are not complete. They skip. That's a dead giveaway. FAKE!

Bummer, consensus seems as if this is a clear fake...I was suspicious and that why I asked. Thanks everyone

Just look at the first give away of being fake.
Where it says "premier" the color is the same as the arrow next to it. The arrow should be like an orange color.

Agree, if that's real, the grade will be very good.

Is you have a local card shop in your area that has a graded Jordan. Bring it by and compare and save the $20+ shipping cost. ;) Just a thought.
