im trying to pick up an evan turner nt rpa. he has a bgs 9 for sale on ebay for 250. last 3 completed listings were 80, 65, 57 respectively. so i offered him 75, thought it was reasonable and basically just shrugged my offer off, pretty much saying it was a low ball

The thing about 1 of 1 cards of this nature are they have generally a target audience of one or two guys that PC him. The average collector would not even think of spending big money on a deep bench player. and so these cards sit in ebay moratorium for said player collectors to watch and be frustrated over.

I've collected Telfair since day one. I've over paid for sooooo many cards and so greatly regret it. I still see ebay auctions that have been on rotation for years now of Telfair cards for 100$+. When these cards actually goto auction I pick them up for 1.99 plus shipping. I know the Sigler collector on here does the same thing. He posted an auction a while back about a guy greatly overpricing a card and then we all spammed the auction with low ball offers :)

As a player collector it really blows when a really nice card comes online and the seller has no idea what it is really worth. Then, you who has been collecting that player and knows the market for them better than anyone else makes an offer on the card that is legit, you get chastised for low balling someone.

I bought the Telfair ultimate 1/1 when it first came out for 1500$ (yes, i know). I sold it to the other Telfair collector at the time for 2k. Now if the card became available I would offer 150$ for it. I'm sure I would get turned down and cursed. But let's be honest... who else is going to buy it.

Supply and demand is a funny concept when there is absolutely no demand :)

the fact that its a 1/1 and auto'd takes it from around $200-300 for a non-auto logoman /2-/5, to i would say $500 would be a good deal for a singler collector. if the guy isnt accepting $700 he's out of his mind. the shumpert immaculate 1/1 auto logo just went in auction form for $709. and hes worth some amount more than singler probably, theyre close. so you could try offering him $650-$700 direct paypal so he'll save $70 or so, but if he doesnt take that just move on.

the guy probably bought it for $500 and wants to resell it for over a thousand, or bought it for less and wants $1.2,3,4+. who knows, its his card & he can do what he wants but $700 is more than a fair offer so if he doesnt take that, then he'll probably hold the card for years as it gradually goes down in price.

i think maybe $700-1000. NT Logoman 1/1 auto is probably the best card that the player has. And i think kyle singler was hot for a while, but unfortunately, white players don't get much love in the league.

Great Point On being A Duke will have a boost on his value.
I think when he gets more playing Time
He could be way better than what shows.
I see a Chandler Parsons on him.

This thread is full of win and awesome. Personally I think 500.00 for a low end hobby name on a very nice 1/1 is more than reasonable for a card like this.

700.00 should have been jumped on, when a pc collector moves on, someone might be left holding the Singler bag.
