Went to the LCS today to catch up on the local chatter and to see if anything new had arrived. My friend had received a few boxes of Finest and Donruss Series 2. I pulled the trigger on a couple of each just to get a pulse on what each product was like. I liked Donruss Series 1 and had decent luck with that. I haven't ever really done well with Finest but everyone on here persuaded me to buy in.....dang peer pressure....
As for the Donruss, I got my slew of inserts from various sets....Tanaka and Abreu. I also got some low serial #'d inserts in the Press Proofs and Statlines...pretty pleased.
The autos were so so with my favorites being a Paul Konerko Turn of the Century auto, JR Murphy TOTC auto, and this.....

So, onto the Finest. I must say, the base cards are really REALLY colorful. Almost too colorful! I was pleased with the number of refractors in each box. The on card autos were a nice touch too. I had low expectations going in, as I was really hoping for an Abreu auto. I did manage to pull a JR Murphy, Wilmer Flores, and this dude.....

I had one auto left to go and was simply hoping for a nice finish to an already colorful box. The refractor parallels were kinda hard to differentiate but I figured it would just be a base refractor RC auto.....well.....I was wrong....
I hit this......
