Hey all...
Im new to the comic book scene...
I saw a thread posted here about the death of wolverine quesada varients and fell in love with the book ( hasnt even been released yet)
I am interested in varient covers (artwork is sweet) or just great artwork...only problem is....I KNOW NOTHING!!!!!!
if yall could just post some of your favorite artists and maybe the title / varient title of your favorites i think it would be a great way of me discovering and learning how to distinguish different artists..
Thanks for all the help...

Adam Hughes - Catwoman and Wonder Woman (very saucy baby)
Michael Turner - (RIP) Superman/Batman series
J Scott Campbell - Amazing Spider-man (can be pricey). A lot of variants out there by him
Greg Cappullo - Batman (New 52) - awesome! Regular series work mostly, but great artwork.
Jock - yes, just Jock. I love his variants!
If you Google their names and then select images, it will give you a great idea of their artwork. Good luck and most importantly - have fun!!!

I'm relatively new to comics, but here are a few of my favorites:
Arthur Suydam - especially his Marvel Zombies parody covers
Skottie Young - known for his "baby" variants
Katie Cook - I love her work in general, but her Marvel animal variants are awesome.

Two I like right now are:
Fiona Staples (artist for Saga)

Josh Middleton

I have a print from Josh in my bedroom, but I can't post it b/c it's NSFW. Google "Josh Middleton Delirium" if you want to see it. It's one of the most beautiful pictures of the Endless I've ever seen.
As a kid and even now, my favs were:
Jim Lee

I admire these guys for still doing free sketches, too.

My favorite of all-time: Jim Lee
The most amazing/historic where I see what he did long before comics were mainstream: Jack Kirby
My favorite today that is extremely underrated (I often can't tell the difference between his work and Alex Ross'): Adi Granov

The Jim Lee's I got for free, the Silvestri I was in shock that I only had to pay $50 for. The Neal Adams I got for free because I did him a big favor (it's not what you think):

It's funny how tastes can differ so much. If Davis is drawing, I'm not buying.
I used to like Keown back in his Hulk/Pitt days. Now it seems he has softened too much.
