UPDATE: MEMBER HAS UPLOADED A TRACKING # AND HAS SHIPPED THE CARD AS OF 8/26/14. HE/SHE APPEARS TO BE MAKING THINGS RIGHT.

Firstly, I will NOT name the member of our community who is the subject of this thread unless it is the consensus that he/she should be named.

On Monday, 8/11/14 I made a deal with a Blowout member for a Davante Adams Topps Inception auto. We decided to do the deal through eBay since I had a $5 eBay coupon and I would be able to pay him more for the card that way. He told me he would PM me once he got the listing up. Also, he we very quick to respond to EVERY PM I sent him.

After I got his PM with the link to the eBay listing I immediately clicked it and paid for the card. I told him my eBay address is wrong (for some reason my address change didn't take, maybe I didn't click "submit" or something, BUT my PayPal address IS correct.) and I told him the correct address to ship the card to. He responded with "Sounds good! Thanks!"

Flash forward to 8/14/14 @9:45 A.M., 3 days later. I asked him if we should leave each other iTrader feedback for the sale because it is kind of a grey area (and I am NOT trying to leave ANYONE bogus feedback and vice versa.) since we agreed to the deal on Blowout, but we made the transaction on eBay. I also asked if he had made sure to ship to my P.O. box address for my own peace of mind. I never got any response. Two days later I checked to see if he had been online since I sent him the PM and he HAD been online and posted. I chalked this up to him just being busy with life. No worries.

Now it is 8/16/14 @ 7:00 P.M., I send him another PM just stating that I still haven't received the card and there has been no updates to the eBay purchase (where one would find tracking, etc.) I also state that if he could just make contact with me and let me know what is going on that would be great. I tell him that I understand people can get busy, and if he hasn't shipped the card that is fine but just keep me in the loop. I NEVER get a response. I check his latest activity and it shows that he had once again logged on AFTER I sent him the PM. He had logged on @ 8/17/14. So, now it is twice that he has not responded to PMs but he has logged in and even posted.

At this point I am really upset. It is one thing to get busy and not have the time to get to a post office and ship a card, but it is another to just go out of your way to avoid someone. I send him a message on eBay on the 8/18/14 @ 5:18 P.M. AGAIN asking for some updates and to just make contact with me as it has been 1 week with no communication. I also told him that I have attempted to contact him twice on Blowout. Again , no response.

So I am wondering if I have let enough time (10 days) go by for me to be justified about being upset and also if I have grounds to request a refund with PayPal. I don't want to jump the gun here, but I feel like 10 days with no updates, no communication, and being blatantly ignored is a little much. If he would have just contacted me and let me know what is up I would be fine. Even if he told me he needed another week to get the card out it would be fine, but he has made no attempt to contact me regardless of what channels I go through.

Thanks for reading this, and any feedback would be great. If I am out of line please let me know.

I think ignoring messages is a bit fishy. Especially since he has been online. I would file a claim and see how he response to that.

Purchased on eBay? Open a claim if not received within the time frame given. Nothing BO can do since you took the deal elsewhere. GL

Estimated delivery date was the 16th, today is the 21st and I opened my claim this morning (or NOON his/her time.). I asked for a refund.

If u truly believe he is trying to take your money and run then u should put his name up.As a member of this community we are all obligated to look out for each other, however if u arent positive he is trying to scam u then u should with hold his name for now

You should definitely give up the name. That's a bunch of b.s. there. I would be pissed also.

Put up the name. Completely sucks that you're getting taken for a ride, would be worse if a second person got taken too. I hope you get your card or money back!

Put up the name. What a joke.

The reason why I have held off naming the guy is because the last time a purchase I made took a week + with no responses and no updates I was told I jumped the gun and I shouldn't have named the person. I didn't want blacklist someone that people don't think should be blacklisted unless for a good reason.

I am torn. On one hand, the guy has 47 iTrader @ 100%. He also has 100% eBay feed back, but only 3 transactions over the last 12 months. So, it would appear he is an honest guy.

On the other hand he has logged on to Blowout and posted after I have messaged him. If someone wants to ignore my PMs that is fine, but if I have purchased something from you and my PMs are regarding that purchase then I feel like you should at the very least make contact with me and keep me in the loop. I think, after weighing both options, the bad outweighs the good here.

Correct, and I messaged him here on the 14th and the 16th with no response, so I messaged him a 3rd time on the 18th on eBay, also without a response. So, I filed a claim today.

Sounds appropriate to me.

Sorry you were taken for a ride Rob. Hope you get the card. Anything could be happening, but opening a case is the best bet for you to get communication rolling again.

Thanks, Chris. I appreciate that. I would love to have the card, but I think my best bet would be to just buy it from another member or a different eBayer.

Did you guys escalate it to a PayPal claim right away?

Man sorry to hear about this. I had a feeling this was who I was thinking of. I actually made a deal with this member for an Inception card (only $6) and it's been over 15 days and I still haven't received anything. He seems like a good member, so I figured something may have came up and that I'd wait it out a bit longer before contacting him. Not really sure what I should do now?

has anyone of you left FB to possibly warn others?

I didn't leave feedback to wait the outcome. Never know if a emergency happened giving benefit of the doubt still

if that is the case, FB can be amended. it looks like at least 4 of you are in this together. maybe 1 or 2 of you would not be if FB had been left.

Just a quick update to everybody. I got a message today on eBay from him through the claim service stating that he "Came into some trouble. SO sorry, will forward tracking this evening!!!" Anyone else get a message from him?

He/she has uploaded a tracking number as of 8/26/14. He/she appears to be making everything right and that means a lot. I hope he is taking care of everyone else.

He's still yet to message me back. I haven't filed a claim yet, so that's probably the reason. Pathetic. I'm just going to go do it and get it over with...

That's good to hear! I guess it looks like I am the forgotten one in all of this? My message was ignored and he didn't respond to the Paypal dispute. I didn't want to do it, but I just escalated it to a claim now. Maybe that's the only way to get something out of him?
