UPDATE: MEMBER HAS UPLOADED A TRACKING # AND HAS SHIPPED THE CARD AS OF 8/26/14. HE/SHE APPEARS TO BE MAKING THINGS RIGHT.
Firstly, I will NOT name the member of our community who is the subject of this thread unless it is the consensus that he/she should be named.
On Monday, 8/11/14 I made a deal with a Blowout member for a Davante Adams Topps Inception auto. We decided to do the deal through eBay since I had a $5 eBay coupon and I would be able to pay him more for the card that way. He told me he would PM me once he got the listing up. Also, he we very quick to respond to EVERY PM I sent him.
After I got his PM with the link to the eBay listing I immediately clicked it and paid for the card. I told him my eBay address is wrong (for some reason my address change didn't take, maybe I didn't click "submit" or something, BUT my PayPal address IS correct.) and I told him the correct address to ship the card to. He responded with "Sounds good! Thanks!"
Flash forward to 8/14/14 @9:45 A.M., 3 days later. I asked him if we should leave each other iTrader feedback for the sale because it is kind of a grey area (and I am NOT trying to leave ANYONE bogus feedback and vice versa.) since we agreed to the deal on Blowout, but we made the transaction on eBay. I also asked if he had made sure to ship to my P.O. box address for my own peace of mind. I never got any response. Two days later I checked to see if he had been online since I sent him the PM and he HAD been online and posted. I chalked this up to him just being busy with life. No worries.
Now it is 8/16/14 @ 7:00 P.M., I send him another PM just stating that I still haven't received the card and there has been no updates to the eBay purchase (where one would find tracking, etc.) I also state that if he could just make contact with me and let me know what is going on that would be great. I tell him that I understand people can get busy, and if he hasn't shipped the card that is fine but just keep me in the loop. I NEVER get a response. I check his latest activity and it shows that he had once again logged on AFTER I sent him the PM. He had logged on @ 8/17/14. So, now it is twice that he has not responded to PMs but he has logged in and even posted.
At this point I am really upset. It is one thing to get busy and not have the time to get to a post office and ship a card, but it is another to just go out of your way to avoid someone. I send him a message on eBay on the 8/18/14 @ 5:18 P.M. AGAIN asking for some updates and to just make contact with me as it has been 1 week with no communication. I also told him that I have attempted to contact him twice on Blowout. Again , no response.
So I am wondering if I have let enough time (10 days) go by for me to be justified about being upset and also if I have grounds to request a refund with PayPal. I don't want to jump the gun here, but I feel like 10 days with no updates, no communication, and being blatantly ignored is a little much. If he would have just contacted me and let me know what is up I would be fine. Even if he told me he needed another week to get the card out it would be fine, but he has made no attempt to contact me regardless of what channels I go through.
Thanks for reading this, and any feedback would be great. If I am out of line please let me know.
