So if this is a football card forum why are over half the threads fantasy football? Just a little rant but to be fair unless they are in your league no one really cares whos on your team.

This part of the forum isn't a card forum. It is the Football section. People talk about everything football. Last I checked Fantasy Football is football related. Also if you think the fantasy football threads are taking up to much space then why are people making 5+ rant threads (also taking up space)

That's great. We can create one fantasy megathread for everyone to post their teams in. For those who want to have real football discussions, I'd like to not have a cluttered board. Thanks.

You're not forced to miss anything. See a thread with a FFB title and move on. You might have to click next page a couple of times when you read. I don't necessarily disagree with making one big megathread for FFB "Rate my team" threads, but the complaining about clutter is pretty much absurd.

Exactly. If these idiots (and yes, you're all idiots) posted in the correct fantasy subforum those of us who are smart enough to exclude certain forums from our "new posts" listing would never have to see them.
If you look at the category the football forum is in, it's HOBBY TALK. You'd think on a forum with 485 subforums on a site dedicated to selling cards that there would be one place where people could *gasp* discuss the hobby/industry without all the extra BS to sift through. Guess not...

Add me to the "Super annoyed by all the FF posts"
And for the record I have done fantasy football for over 15 years AND am a regular poster and FB collector. Some of us don't need constant validation of something that's already happened. If you're any good at FF your team will look very different than the team you drafted anyway. Every time I've won a league or finished in the top 3 I made a good amount of trades and free agency pickups.

This is definitely true.
I think the larger issue here is, why on earth are you drafting and playing fantasy football if you need to have people comment on your draft after it already happened?
A, it already happened, there's no going back and B, why does it matter what other people think? Do you really need a bunch of people to tell you how good your team is to feel good about yourself?
As the larger issue about threads in this section of the boards, I'd say it's a complete first world problem. Every fantasy football thread gets at least a handful of replies, so clearly there's plenty of interest. If you don't like it, don't click on it, period.
If it's a real issue, tell a mod. If they started moving all the fantasy posts over to the fantasy section, people would get the message. As it stands, there's no enforcement going on, so don't blame people for doing something that isn't against the boards rules (apparently).

This forum would be dead, absolutely lifeless, if the "Hobby talk" part of it was strictly enforced.
Are we going to start an NFL Draft section? A Free Agency section? Arrest section? Injury section? Gambling section? Team discussion section?
We'd have 10 pages of "How much is this worth because I don't know how to check eBay" or "I hate Panini" threads.
Sounds awesome.
Everyone that posts a FF team thread should just include a scan of a card of one of the players they drafted and ask if it's a good investment - that way people can tell you if that card would go up or down based on their fantasy potential - Hobby related. Boom.

Free Agency? Affects hobby...
Arrests? Affects hobby...
Gambling? They keep it to ONE thread
Team Discussion? Each team has ONE thread
Seriously... if you can't see the difference between the things you listed and all the various "How does my crappy fantasy team look?" threads, I don't know what to tell you. All of these other topics try to keep it to one thread and/or have hobby effects, and don't clutter up the main page.
There is interest for fantasy football so people are going to respond to these, but why can't we have ONE thread where people can ask questions and get answers? Not everything is about easy access. Sorry that I feel a topic could be kept to one thread. Other topics do it. Why can't Fantasy?
What makes it even worse is Fantasy already has a whole section to itself, but spills over into here. Maybe they should just delete the Fantasy section and see how much worse it gets. There are some saying that nobody goes there, yet there are posts all the time for new leagues. I guess if nobody goes there, it isn't needed.

This could be an easy fix. Mods should just temporarily suspend anyone who makes a fantasy thread and puts it in the hobby talk section. People would get the message real fast.
I think this is a big enough topic that there should be something done about it, because half the people are for these threads and half are against them. Fantasy is such a huge topic these days, that all fantasy posts really should be put in the fantasy subforum and not here. I like box breaks, I like buy/sell trades, I like member feedback sections, but imagine if they were all thrown here in the football hobby talk section. It would be a huge cluster. That is what this particular forum has become.
And for all of you that want to call the waaambulance or talk about #firstworldproblems that's not the point, and if you want to play that card (pun intended) then you should not even be on here posting; you should be giving all of your money away to the poor and volunteering your time.
I like to talk about football, cards, an the hobby. Fantasy is its own beast and there are PLENTY of places to go to talk about fantasy, get advice, and gets answers to what color socks you should wear for the day.
So, consider me among those who find it less than user friendly to scroll through a bunch of threads about fantasy just to get to actual hobby and football talk.

Maybe you should make a few more Cleveland Browns threads to get in the middle of all the fantasy stuff.
100 points and one gold star.

How much does Madden football LEAGUES (aka a fantasy league) on xb1 have to do with the hobby?

How much does Madden football on xb1 have to do with the hobby?
Tell me how many threads I made for the Madden XB1 league that I run?
Then tell me how many dedicated forums on BO does Madden have?

The same amount most people make for a fantasy team.

So there is forum wide participation in each of those leagues?
Can I have a dedicated forum for Madden?

You give me a dedicated forum for my Madden league and I will take my ball and go over there.

Something was done about it last year when this was already discussed. Mods said it was fine.
It's not like this hasn't been addressed before.

My point was, if half the people don't like it, then I'm not sure something has been done...if there were just a handful of dissenters then we'd have to just suck it up, but I think there are enough people who do not like the threads and/or don't feel they are appropriate for this forum, that it seems like it should just be better regulated. From what I understand, the mods got tired of moving threads, so they just gave up. My suggestion was hand out a couple suspensions and then the threads would be "moved" on their own pretty quickly.
I realize everyone can't be happy, and I'm not trying to get in the middle of the personal battles being waged here. I just personally like the the forum to be "clean" and not cluttered with one specific topic that now seems to engulf everything else.

That main page is such a mess. It tooke me literally all day to get to Page 3 where there are threads that go all the way back to August 24th - including all the clutter you are whining about - how am I ever supposed to go back that far? 2 to 3 pages? It's ridiculous.
I never realized how whiny you were.
I just picture you all twitter-pated yowling "it's ridiiiiiiculous"

Screw the Packers. Enjoy watching Julius in 3-4 as a coverage LB, can't wait for Martellus to treat him well.

I guarantee you it's way less then 50% of people on Blowout that care about Fantasy threads. Most people just skip over them and don't reply in threads like these.

You are in the wrong thread. This one isn't whining about the NFL rules and then slurping it up by watching every week.

Displeased with the rule, not enough to make me stop watching. I also have problems with certain things at work, probably not going to quit.

First thing you have gotten correct in the whole thread. Enjoy being a "fan" of the Packers. Can't wait to see you crying about Dom and Mike in a couple weeks.
