this is probably stemming from the fact that I'm having a shitty day at work but I just saw something that kinda chaps my ass just a bit...

I get on the CGC forums just now and on their banner thing that flashes up various advertisements I see one about how they've rolled back the modern tier to 1975 now. Next to that they show a picture of a CGC 9.6 Giant Size X-Men #1 which is a popular title that was published in 1975...

So just for kicks lets make this a little contest...and it's a pretty easy one. $5 paypal gift to the first person who correctly guesses why that pissed me off.

CGC used to have their modern tier at 1976 I believe. Then several years ago they changed it to 1980. No doubt they're nervous about the new grading company, and it'll be good overall for the industry.

I agree competition is good and I have seen some cgc 8.5's posted on ebay and other sites recently that are not 8.5's more like 7.5's. Anyways I hops so unless rumors get spread about unethical practices like what happened with pgx. I like this new grading company and the way the slabs are presented. :)!

lol, it's cool, man. I thought it was pretty messed up when I saw that as well. I haven't seen anybody question it, but I haven't been paying much attention, either.
