I need some suggestions from the knowledgeable enthusiasts on the boards.

Starting with issue 127 I finally started collecting The Walking Dead comics. It will be a LONG and EXPENSIVE endeavor to do so, but my plans are to slowly add the back issues and come pretty close to having them all. I know, lofty goals but it def gives me something to work towards.

Last weekend when picking up the latest WD issue I saw Issue #1 of The Fade Out. I'm a sucker for 40s-based story-lines, and picked it up ... and LOVED it. So that's another line I'll be in for.

My questions for you all is, given that I love vintage themes and anything to do with WWII-era, is there another title or two I should keep an eye out for?

Check out Velvet. Same writer as The Fade Out. Set between WWII and the early 70s.

If you're looking to read walking dead the Compendiums are the way to go if you can handle the bigger style and heavy book. If you're looking to collect buy now and buy in lots, once the show is on the air the book prices all go up and sell much quicker. Buy when the show is off the air.. Hope that helps

Take a look at Masks put out by Dynamite. Set in your time period and it features all of the old radio serial heroes like the Green Hornet and Kato, The Shadow, The Green Lama and more I wasn't familiar with. 8 issue series with a ton of variants. There must have been 8 or 10 variants to each issue.
