Toys R Us is pulling its four collectible dolls (http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/10/breaking_bad_dolls_pulled_off.html) based on characters from AMC's hit series "Breaking Bad" after taking heat from a Florida mom who launched a petition campaign last week.
On Monday, Bryan Cranston, the actor who played White, responded to the controversy, tweeting, "I'm so mad. I am burning my Florida mom action figure in protest."

I agree these should not be in the toy section at Toys R Us with the drug guys with bags of meth. Its just not good and whoever passed on this idea is really clueless. Besides all that the show is over....why have a line of toys now? Plain goofy IMO.

It's in a adult section of toys in a specific area. Along with walking dead Friday the 13th and many others. People are way too over sensitive this day and age. Those figures were normal and has nothing wrong and over the top with them.

They may increase in price, but with no show in play demand may not grow fast enough to see any quick money as there are plenty of them on Ebay already.

I'm curious about them as well. I saw the ones on eBay, and on a couple other sites. Does mezco have toys in Walmarts and, or Walgreens?

Why don't they just relabel them and have it say "With Magic Pop Rocks" or something to that effect.
Kind of like years ago when the Austin Powers figures were released. If you got the Comic Shop version it was "Fat Bastard" but if you bought it at Toys R Us is was "Fat Man"
Seems easy enough to fix

I guess they need to make an "adult" section at Toys R Us.

Based on all of the articles I see about Florida in the Off Topic section, The Florida mom action figure seems to be just as scary.

These are not hard to find. They are available at FYE here as well as a few other local places. I don't think they will get the Django treatment as far as prices go.

I bought a Bloody Rick Walking Dead figure at TRU years ago. Bottom line, these are toys, the place is called TOYS R US. If they can sell R rated movies, what's the problem with these?

Did they take down the Adrian Peterson and Ray Rice Mcfarlanes?

When it comes to kids I am going to be sensitive. Adult section of Toys R Us is the worst idea I've heard. Has anyone seen kids roaming around the store - they go everywhere. Guess I am sensitive cause I live in the meth capital of the US so it is a big deal.

I agree with you 100%.
I'm puzzled by this story. What other toys have Toys R Us banned? Because for one thing, I still see Gears of War action figures still on the shelf. One in particular is the locust headshot.

I have 9 kids and I am appalled that porn is not sold at toys r us. How dare they decide what's best for my child.

The "Django Unchained" (which I can't spell) toys were pulled. In the 80's the matchbox Freddy doll was pulled and the original large scale Alien figure from (79? ish?) was pulled. That's all I remember for being pulled due to controversy. Also those weren't just pulled from TRU they were generally pulled from shelves. I don't even know when TRU came into business.

No but due to issues they've made certain to never put the Ben Rothliesberger ones near the Barbie section.

Toys R Us has no problem selling video games like GTA with drugs, violence and prostitution but Breaking Bad figures are a problem? Personally I don't care but do kids really know what Breaking Bad is if they see it on store shelves? If anyone buys them it'll be the adults to keep for themselves. In the end, they're just figures and unless it comes with an ounce of meth in every package I don't see a problem with it.

The figures aren't the problem. The backlash from selling the figures is the problem. See kiddies are still their number 1 client. But kiddies don't pay the bills the parents of the kiddies pay the bills. So anything that would upset the parents and cause them to shop at Walmart or Target or someplace else for their toys isn't going to be allowed on the shelves. It's just business. They're not "against" the toys. They're against losing money. The revenue generated by selling the toys isn't worth the headache the potential protests/loss of revenue would cause.

If you are a parent and you haven't let your child watch the show, these figures mean nothing to them.
My kids wouldn't know who Aaron Paul is if he walked in our house.
What is wrong with people?

WRONG!
I have a kid, and have no problem with these being sold. have you ever been in a newburry comics store? you need to educate your kid(s), not shelter them.

Oh hell no, that's why I have dogs. Way easier to take care of. They're like 4 legged furry children who never grow into annoying teenagers.
