Most people don't care...

I just find it funny as a Browns fan because 18 months ago we (meaning Cleveland fans) were all freaking out that we could have had Doug Martin at the #22 pick instead of Trent Richardson at the #4 pick.

Now Doug Martin won't even bring close to what TRich did in trade - although that's more indicitive of how stupid Indianapolis was.

from rotoworld:

The Bucs will consider offers for RB Doug Martin and S Mark Barron ahead of Tuesday's 4pm ET trade deadline.

The Bucs are also getting calls on Vincent Jackson, but he's highly unlikely to get moved. Martin, on the other hand, has been the subject of heavy rumors over the last week. He's averaged just 3.36 yards per carry over the last two seasons, has been brutal in pass protection and the Lovie Smith regime inherited him. Charles Sims (ankle) is expected to be active and have a role against the Browns Sunday whether Martin gets moved or not. Barron, the No. 7 overall pick in 2012, has three interceptions and one forced fumble in 37 career games while consistently grading out in the bottom third of PFF's safety grades.

They'd never do it in the division, but I'd love to see the Panthers get Barron

Will be interesting as Bucs fan to see what happens. Like to see Doug Martin go we have way too many RBs with Charles Sims and Rainey and even Mike James. Barron on the other would like to keep way to thin at that position.

I hope Martin can get traded so I can trade him.

I actually wouldn't mind the Browns going after Barron on the cheap.

They don't need him at the moment as Gipson is playing at a Pro Bowl level (not that Barron plays that spot anyway) and Whitner has been good.

But Whitner is also getting a little long in the tooth. Barron would bring good depth at the right price.

But who knows what that price really is.

Yeah, if you can get something for Dougie, take it. Keep Barron. And God forbid do not trade VJax.

Jets could use VJax.

Trade Rex Ryan for Jackson straight up

Might be worth it?!

Bucs unloaded to stock picks for next year apparently.

Per Adam Schefter:

I'll take him. Our secondary is god awful. Hopefully he can thrive under Fisher and Williams.

Damn I was hoping the Raiders would get Barron to replace Ross at safety

MC80_LCM

Maybe he will work on another team but Barron was AWFUL on the Bucs. He'd make maybe 1 or 2 big hits a game but they would be 30 yards down the field after he blew a coverage. I hated the pick when we drafted him, and I'm thrilled he's gone.

asujbl

4th and 6th is probably worth the risk to some teams and not to others. 4th and 6th, although they might appear like it, are not just throw away picks whether you use them or package them to move up for other players.

Personally? I'd risk it

But there are a bunch of "1st rounders" that people get hung up on their names, assume they can turn it around quickly, and act like they are worth more then they are.

His WIKI has been updated (not by me)

St. Louis Rams[edit]
Barron was traded to the St. Louis Rams on October 28, 2014 because, like most who played for Nick Saban, he turned out to be a complete disappointment in the NFL.

Fug, why couldn't a firesale team be out of the dvision? The Panthers need DB BAD!

The scary part is I remember reading somewhere that Barron was at the very top of Hurney's draft board, but Tampa took him ahead of us, so we had to get Luke.
