To me this is one of the top match ups of the week and this game could be a deciding factor when we start to look at playoff seeding with the winner getting the head to head advantage. If Dallas rushed Murray 20+, Dallas will win. I don't think either Carson Palmer and Tony Romo are elite QB's, so it will come down to who can run the ball and control the clock. Philly lost to AZ because they could not get 1st downs, even when they had good field position they just could not move the chains. I think Romo playing or not does not affect the outcome of this game as much as people think. Weeden has been getting regular snaps with the first team all year, Romo has been taking every Wednesday off so Weeden takes those 1st team snaps. Dallas will be fine as long as they don't abandon the run (like OT on Monday night). I think Dallas win 24-17

Dallas does need to run the ball often in this one, 2 big problems to consider,1. The Arizona run D is very good. 2. they blitz like crazy. Whoever is playing QB for the Cowboys would do well to dump off to the backs. I think the Cowboys win it 20-14.

Cards took notes on how to win from the 'Skins last week. They'll eek this one out with great defense. We're looking at 21-17 Cardinals.

I would imagine that the Skins game was a wake up call for the Cowboys, if they let AZ destroy them with blitzes like Washington did, I will be shocked. They'll have to adjust this week and lean on Murray heavily. If the Cowboys don't fumble (big IF) I think they'll win, if they turn it over like they did vs. Washington, they'll lose big.

I want the Cardinals to win but I think the Cowboys will.
Very happy that the Cardinals are playing well because it makes it worthwhile for those of us who do not have the NFL package. Not a Cards fan but them playing well gives me reason to support them as a pseudo-bandwagonner (not a real word, but it works).

I like what AZ has done this year and I don't hate them, I just don't trust Carson Palmer for the long haul (as in play well for an entire season and do well in the playoffs). I guess you can say the same about Romo.

I confident enough to say we beat Arizona and it won't be close.
^^^ Just want to make sure this guy shows up for the thread :)

Breeden throws for over 300 yards and 2 TD' without a pick. Play action will be huge

The skins ttook the cards game plan against them and used it on the cowboys. The cards blitz more than any other team and will do it a ton against dallas.

Weeden looked better than Romo when he got in there.

ARIZONA is going to destroy the Cowboys, they are going to leave carcass all over the field.
I said the Cowboys would destroy the Redskin, but ended up jinxing my own team, this week I will do the opposite and pump up the other team and see how it goes.

LOL. You and everybody else. As a skins fan it was one of the greats against ya'll... If ROMO STARTS HE'S DONE FOR THE SEASON... AZ is gonna pick up where the skins left off... Weeden is your only hope.

If Romo plays, I'd call it a 50/50 game.
If Weeden plays, Cardinals win.
However, the Cardinals need to be careful about how they send their blitzes this week. With the best O-line in football along with Murray in the backfield, if the Cardinals go as blitz-heavy as they did last week, they're in for a bunch of check down and screen plays to Murray that will destroy them. Should be a fun game to watch!

With the condition of Romo, they have a better chance of winning today with Weeden. If Romo had played they would have had 0 chance of winning today. I think Weeden will have a productive game today.

If Romo had 2 broken legs, 2 broken arms and a decapitated head. He could still outplay Weeden?

This game is BS. Once again very poor coaching by Dallas and even worst QB play. WTF is Dez doing yelling on the bench? Someone should tell him to sit down and shut up. I also do believe AZ is over rated, if they do make the playoff, they will get destroyed by a team like GB.

Having Weeden as the backup seemed insane to me when Romo had his back surgery and could have been hurt or out even earlier in the season than this. Cowboys will be forfeiting every game Weeden has to start this season.

Are they? How would you know? I'd be worried if I was an Eagles fan and needed Sanchez to play the rest of the year.

I would much rather have Sanchez playing in a system that has proven that almost any QB can look pretty good then have Weeden playing in a run n' gun offense.

I didn't have an opportunity to watch the game. Saw that Terrance Williams had only two catches on seven targets. Can someone who watched tell me who was covering him? Was it good defense, drops, or lack of QB-WR rhythm?

Because Weeden is going to keep playing? They have the Jags then a bye, Romo will be back and healthy after that, whereas Foles could have a broken clavicle sidelining him for 6 weeks.

QB play was awful. Weeden doesn't belong in the NFL.

Broken clavicle for a QB at this point of the season could mean he is done for the year. They all heal at different rates, and it depends on what kind of break it was.

Well... Romo has a injury that could linger the entire year, and probably one big hit to that back would require surgery..

Was wracking my brain so hard trying to think back to all the Cleveland QBs named Martin.....
I meant they should have grabbed Colt McCoy rather than Brandon Weeden. Thank God they didn't draft Manziel! I love the Martin pick and wish they'd run the ball more today. Sucks to see Murray's 100-yd streak snapped.

Weeden was throwing in the dirt and overthrowing all day. They should of run more screens. It was clear that AZ was not afraid of getting burned by Weeden. Its ok because Dallas still has to play the eagles twice and those 2 games will decide who wins the division, it might come down to who is the healthiest. Also keep in mind Dallas was missing 2 starters in the o-Line.
To be honest, I wasn't expecting them to win, and in reality, Romo needs to play against the Jaguars. This team is in dire need of a Bye Week and smashing the Jags and having a long flight back from London plus the Bye Week would do wonders for this team's psyche.
Congrats to Arizona, they're not the most impressive team ever, but they are very effective.

Long time Cowboys fan and the one thing that upset me more than anything this year was losing Orton as a back up. Is he a Savior, no, but my God, Weeden is the WORST backup Dallas has had since Babe Laufenberg. And any Cowboys fan who remembers him will know how bad he was. With Weeden at the helm 8-8 is a strong possibility. Frustrated isn't even close to what I am feeling right now. Oh well, as I told my brother, starting out at 6-1 we at least would be .500 until week 13. Go Boys. :)

Didn't "eek" but still held the 'Boys to 17. Great defense held Murray under 100 yards. I think I practically nailed it. :flex:

I admit, I never quite bought into Arizona since I believe they started off hot last year as well and completely fizzled. But that's not the case this year. Ellington is a monster, and Palmer is playing good football and minimizing turnovers (relatively speaking). There still were questions about that secondary, but they played extremely well yesterday and kept williams and dez in check. Really looking forward to the Hawks matchup on the 23rd...should be a good one.

They did not fizzle last year. Over the last 16 games they are one of the hottest teams in the league. And as far as turnovers (relatively speaking ) palmer has only thrown 2 int. Not bad.
