My league is starting to discuss keepers for next week. Here's my team. We can keep 4. Bautista and Braun would be 1st and 2nd round keepers. Everyone else has late round status.

When the year started going south, I started trading for late round keepers.

What do you guys think?

Thanks gents.

Hamilton and Degrom I would definitely go with. I'm thinking the other 2 would be Baez and Syndergaard but possibly K-Rod.

Took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with the above.

Why would anyone keep KRod, ever?

He really held my pitching staff together last year. Plus, he'd be a last round keeper.

Can you keep them beyond this season?

DeGrom, T Walker, B-Ham are the three I'd definitely keep. When in doubt, keep offense over pitching.

Those are my 3 guys as well. I asked my question above because I'd make Baez the 4th guy if he is eligible to be kept for additional seasons.

I don't think an opinion can be given on this unless the scoring system is stated- there are a lot of different leagues out there.

Yes.. the same guy who drafted Trout years ago in the last round still has him.

see thats why a salary cap system is so cool. goes something like this. 1st round $15, 2nd $14 etc. Then there are $0 rounds for prospects but you can only have so many on team. Once u start a $0 player they become $1. Each year the players salary doubles so 2013 Trout was $15 2014 he is $30. In my uncles league he drafted Trout in the first $0 round when he was drafted. That makes it so you can keep them for a while yet you can't keep them their whole career. Then you have to make hard decisions if you have a top tier player but they take up a lot of your cap. Is it best to keep him or keep 2-3 tier 2 players? Ran a football league like that for 5+ years was really fun.

I think this is something that will be brought up and voted on by the owners this year. It's kind of silly to be able to keep Trout forever as a last round keeper.

Holland, if he's cheap could be a good keeper this year since his injury wasn't arm related and he looked good.

Not sure who u had...but there is not much talent on this team....I guess just keep 4 backend guys and hope ur opponents don't keep the top 50 players....otherwise ur not gonna contend unless the 4 u keep all excel quickly....good luck...

I started to trade my team off for young keepers when my season went south from injuries.
